And it is on-topic because Mercedes specifically mentioned it as the reason for their new livery. So they themselves made it 100% on topic.
I disagree......

This is one of the initiatives I’ve been working with for the past years, also with
Deloitte in the past, even as a sponsor I think.

https://www.theotherbusinessman.nl/

One of many examples why we need change (wetenschappelijk onderzoek VU)
https://www.innovatiefinwerk.nl/sites/i ... svpers.pdf

If you want to read real testimonials from people of colour on the job market, just google a bit and you’ll find more then you can read.

Here we have some other racist comments of Derksen

And freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequence. Also, freedom of speech doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want. You still not allowed to lie, be racist, make false claims, say you’re a doctor, etc etc. Calling a black woman a monkey because she’s black is racist. Simple.
Got anything peer reviewed? Anything with true statistical grunt? Google is anecdotal evidence. Just Google discrimination of whites, discriminations of males. Also enough on Google. Does not make it scientific.

And speaking bluntly about the shortcomings of the integration state is not the same as racism. This is exactly they problem and the reason why people are starting to shun the movement. They are so extreme.
One better, an article from one of the more neutral papers in the Netherlands with links to the scientific research on the matter. https://www.ad.nl/ad-werkt/discriminati ... ~a31e53d0/
I am sorry, did you just use 'neutral' and AD' in the same sentence? That used to be, but under their new director they have taken a clear hard turn to Partisan town. And your link is making zero reference to discrimination based on color of skin.

Look: nobody is saying we are perfect, but your posts continually portrait the Netherlands as some hell hole for black people, even going as far as lying about white convicts having a better chance.

True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

Such as, please point me to those racist posts. Not to be confused with posts you merely disagree with. Unless I missed something you are doing exactly what you GIF avatar is showing when discussions get real.

And regarding the topic: Mercedes with their statement made this discussion 100% on topic.

Seeing how Mercedes has been dominating, I fear what will happen when they start hiring the best if they werent already doing that :o
Showing that they already have the best (when mercedes categorically stated that they have 97% of certain ethnicity)
Which like everyone above people in this thread are implying that there are not enough talent in certain ethnic groups or stating that only certain ethnic groups are talented or skilled enough to even apply for jobs

Agreed. THere's disagreement but it's all been good natured, so far. =D>

We need to define racism first!

Stating that only certain groups are good in one thing is racism.

The subtle racism going on in the western world has been there for so long that it is now considered normal

As for the Netherlands, we are not the worst, at least we don’t have a president with Twitter, but we still have a long way to go.

And you do know this is not a government institution like CBS do you? It is a NGO club running on subsidy which is dependant on making the problem seem as large as possible. Google them.

And no we dont have a long way to go. We are almost there, and in some cases we even drove past the destination and started implementing guidelines that started discrimination the other way.

I don't want to respond to comments like this coz people who never have been oppressed dont know what racism is.... As a person with black to brown skin, i have endured racist comments since young age and even when i am a Doctor with MD and cleared every exam in UK and got professional registration there, i cannot get a job coz of my ethnicity. You need to at least live one day as an oppressed person in this world to understand the subtle racism some people show. Not saying everyone are the same

WE dont need to do anything.

YOU need to look up the meaning of racism. And while your at it take lessons in reading because you are obviously not reading right because nobody said what you are saying we said. And that is exactly why more and more people are supporting BLM but not the extremists in that (and affiliated politiced) organizations.

Edit: apparently he couldn't come up with an actual written response, so he used the downvote option. Apparently I hurt his feelings, but he had to be set straight for labeling multiple people racist when everyone but him agrees no racists things have been said in this topic, the discussion is valid, and has been in good spirit so far (as far as such a topic can be).
FYI, i didnot downvote you, any mod can confirm that!

and i dont want to respond to comments like this coz people who never have been oppressed so dont know what racism is.... 1. How do you know the color of my skin?
2. Wanna hear a fun fact about the skin color of my partner? You might be surprised.
3. That is the 'unless you have eaten a --- sandwich you don't know wheter it tastes good' fallacy
4. People of all color can be oppressed. Might wanna check history. You dont even have to go that far back to certain German speaking country which funnily was supplied by Mercedes.
5. I am sorry to hear that, fortunately that issues is not the same in every country. Realise that you are on a forum with people from all around the world. Not just USA and UK.
6. What is the actual reason given? Because here in the Netherlands there are so few Specialist spots that only a fraction of MD's (some even with an additional PhD) get such a spot. Nothing to do with race, just a lack of spots.

No it isn't.

1. CBS deals in actual measurable facts, CPB merely projects.
2. Yet again, point me to discrimination based on the color of skin in your articles? They are about discrimination based on nationality which is linked to the failed integration experiment. You may notice it are exactly those nationalities central to that debate and not other nationalities such as Asian, South American etc which are also mayor groups here.

I think racism can be subjective.
I'm a white male, and my view, seen as we are all advocating free speech, is there are some comments on here from numerous posters I'd interpret as racist whether they are intended as such or not.

Good point, if you read of say London in the early 20 century, it looks like Irish was the worst 'race' to be.
Many places had the sign No dogs, no Irish. A few hundred years before it was Jewish.

I am not suggesting this replaced colour based racism, but shows there is a moving target. People who do not mix are automatically going to be racist even if they have no ill intent. But it is still racist. Pinning it down is hard, and I an not going to try. I think we are all racist to some extent no matter how hard we try. We can do something about it based on colour (All colours) so it is probably a good place to start, even though we are rather late. All should be the same what ever colour sex or religion, but we have a long way to go yet

I suppose I had better take my own advice and say I hope I have not upset anyone by saying above, as the biggest problem of racism is not realising yo are doing it.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.
