Gonna wait for the video or full transcript, but from this it looks as if gloves are off with "il predestinato", if they had ever been on

I feel this short season will be hot in the red team lol Image Can't wait anymore to see what will happen there if Ferrari will try to make Seb a butler.

Their first version was that it was a joint decision.
Good from Vettel to reveal the uglier truth.
Not surprised though.

Just saw an interview with him on RTL and he's fed up with Ferrari to say the least.
Don't think Ferrari anticipated to be called out like that.

As much as I am a Ferrari fan, I hate their politics and games. I can’t think of a WDC driver in the last few decades who wasn’t in some way screwed by them.

Boy! Vettel is calling out the BS from Ferrari. I was honestly expecting him to tow the company line and it's bloody refreshing to see a champion actually call it like it was.
"Sebastian there's very, you're a member of a very select few.. Stewart, Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Fangio.. VETTEL!"

This is old news, reported may 16th...
https://the-race.com/formula-1/ferrari- ... -contract/

Just as I said, Ferrari got wise a dropped him like a bag of trash. If they were truly wise they would have never resigned him after 2017.

I truly hope so, he deserved a shot far more so than GIO and even OCO

Reading between the lines, I would say Vettel was let go because of not performance targets over the years. Thoughts?

I think that’s could be a fair assumption. He lost too many points during the last few years.

Ferrari is pretty hard on their number one (well paid) drivers. From Prost (pre PM) all the way up to Vettel, all of their contracts didn’t het renewed or even terminated. Even Schumacher was pushed into retirement when they thought they could do better with Raikkonen (who was before his contract was replaced with Alonso and idem with Vettel)

Lets hope the car is at least good enough this and next year not to kill Leclerc’s career before it starts.

I get why Ferrari wanted Carlos Sainz but I am still trying to understand, what did they not like about Daniel Ricciardo?

Prima Donna behaviour?
Salary Demands?
Was he too quick a driver?

Are you saying Ferrari skimped on Kamui Kobayashi because he was too quick?

I can name a few. Rosberg, Button, Hamilton, Hakkinen, Villeneuve, D. Hill... see a pattern here? :P
