Hmm. Yeah. It might be a good Idea for Max to join Mercedes to learn from Lewis before Lewis retires. Lots of knowledge to pass on to a enthusiastic apprentice.
Like how to land a dominant seat for 7 straight years?
Yeah.

Step 1. Drive clean
Step 2. Beat WDC teammates
Step 3. Win a championship
Step 4. Be a nice human being

2 and 3 yes. 1 often but not always and 4 disagree
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

At least Ferrari doesn’t have to worry now about Vettel becoming WC while they booted him

Yeah, doesn’t look like the Scuderia has the pace. Maybe this turns out to be a blessing in disguise for Vettel.

If Ferrari are in the pack, I think it will possibly show Vettels lack of spacial awareness.

I do like Vettel, I think he's good guy... just not the best driver indeed... I wouldn't be surprised if he is in the gravel at turn one, missing a wheel and blaming Kvyat and Stroll.

I meant it could be a blessing in disguise for Vettel to be out of contract, if this is one of Ferrari's long downward slopes. In that case he got out right on time.

And go where? At the moment he's developing a case of Alonsitus *) then "keeping his options open"

*) should be on the grid, but no front running team offering a seat

I wonder if he fancies a look at the Mclaren American project?

I think barring an upset at Brackley, EJ’s old team would be the only logical choice. McLaren have made their bed with Ricciardo

I think he’s ok sitting out. If not Mercedes, I don’t think he’d go anywhere else. Why would he?

Aftwe today’s showing I think he would have been fine going to McLaren (although no seats there now) or Aston

What was Verstappen’s camp thinking of extending his contract until the end of 2023 when he could have had Bottas’ seat from 2021 onwards and finally have a car that is able to challenge for the title. As long as he stays with Red Bull he won’t have a car able to challenge for the title. Extremely stupid decision when basically half this forum was saying for years: go to Mercedes.
Verstappen is clearly scared of Hamilton or he would have offered his services for free(plus bonuses) like Senna did.

IF Alonso comes to Renault, he can beat Ferrari in 2021 and beyond. :D
