Max cannot be champion, Mercedes can be champion again. But what is reason to talk like this just after first qualifications. This is something not right to speak even after race.
I'm just disillusioned, disappointed. I of course hope for the best, I'd like to see Red Bull and Max win this year. But if there is one thing I think we all agreed upon was that Red Bull cannot have a weak start to a season again. They might eventually catch up but Mercedes and their drivers are too consistent, they will not throw it away at that point. Realistically Verstappen needs to be consistently within a tenth in qualifying at each track, to be in a sufficienty good position so he can challenge both of the Mercedes drivers. Because that is Mercedes' main advantage against him, they have two drivers to attack with, or one driver to prioritize if it suits them. Of course with all due respect to Albon, who is still finding his place within the team.
Of course you are right, no points have yet be awarded. Tomorrow Red Bull might indeed do better. I hope they can at least follow Mercedes closely without them running away in the distance. Then there might be hope for other tracks to better suit the RB.
