I refure to believe that last years Mercedes who we have beaten badly last week suddenly became faster unless they brought upgrades. I am not gonna accept anything less than the 3rd place in the championship this year. We must not be beaten by a copycat and we should be able to outdevelop them quickly.

You can't tell me that they were lucky last time. They were clearly faster all the race by both Ferraris, Renaults and Racing Points. I remember how lap times went. What changed this week? Is it possible that they can't make these tyres work?

How much more potential can a last years Mercedes have?

We weren’t “clearly” faster... The Safety Cars and RP’s bad strategy helped... Pace was similar, but we weren’t faster

Lmao... A little too entitled?

Don’t accept it... But reality can be a bit cruel, better to try and get your mind around it if you don’t want to have a very tough season ahead of you.

Norris just did a 1.07.8. So pretty decent. It’s just Sainz being a tad lacklustre on mediums and the MCL35 not loving high fuel running

Lando should be on Carlos DRS in about 2-3 laps, I hope they let him through and see if he can catch Stroll and RIC

We will see. It's a long year and we have better driver pair. Now if only we could fix our pit stops because that is the only reason we lost badly today.

I am sure we will outdevelop the rest.

I believe that RP will be quick, especially at the beginning of the season and that was the expectation from winter testing and what every practice session has showed so far... I do believe that we are slightly ahead of Renault and probably would be ahead of RIC with Sainz if not for the PitStop problem

It's very marginal. Last week we were faster, cleared the competition with a couple of seconds. Sainz did that this time around as well, and without the stop issue he would have come out in front both Racing Points and probably in front of Ricciardo as well. After he came out behind I'm sure he got discouraged and I wouldn't be surprised if he was slow because he is feeling his opportunity sailed away with the mistake in the box.

Norris seems to be plugging away. We need to maximize the result now, Sainz should let Norris go forward and arrange a swap back if Norris can't overtake Stroll.
