Unluckily the FIA will be monitoring closely what Mclaren does to integrate the Merc engine to prevent any additional advantage from it... Both tokens will be used for the PU installation while the rest of the teams can use those tokens to improve their cars... Hopefully the difference between the engines compensate for the lack of improvement on the chassis itself.

What is this token bullshit? Are you telling me teams will have to run with these years cars next year? Aren't they gonna make new cars?

On another note. We are fighting Red Bull, we are beating Ferrari. I believe we will outdevelop Racing Point quickly. We are gonna get that 3rd place and maybe 2nd if we keep pushing Red Bull?

Nice... Q3 it is!!!

P8 and P9 ensured with Gasly’s car having problems... Now time to fight and try to get it on with the Ferrari’s and potentially the Red Bull... Racing Point simply seem way to far ahead

Don’t think the potential is there but 8/9 is all we can realistically achieve. Progress year on year has been impressive. But by Jove that Merc W11 is quick. On mediums, even nearly .9s of the W10 Tracing Point

The cars were supposed to be frozen for next year, since Mclaren had to make changes in order to accommodate the Mercedes PU, it was agreed that the teams would be getting 2 tokens to modify their cars (chassis) for 2021... Mclaren will use both tokens to install the new PU, every other team can use those tokens as they see fit... If I’m not wrong, between this week and the next one, they have to tell FIA how are they going to use their tokens.

So the question is if Mclaren can bring huge upgrade after huge upgrade to outdevelop that Racing Point and surpass them. If they manage to do that I believe they will be closer to Mercedes next year with the new engine. Can James Key manage to do his magic tricks to see if he can find any aerodynamic advantage through loopholes when making a chassis to accomodate the new engine?

It's time. Put on Scenario 7, fresh softs and let's see where we stand really.

We’ve looked sharper once the quali sims have been done in FP3, certainly Norris’ car anyway. Carlos seems to still be trying to find his sweet spot for this track.

Di Resta impressed with our cars handling in comparison to the Red Bull, although noted that doesn’t mean it’s got more downforce but just behaves as it should.

Very close between Ferrari, McLaren, Renault and Lance Stroll. I think Perez might just be a couple of tenths too far up the road.
It seems better now.

I wonder if we are slower in FP1 and FP2 because we run with a higher fuel load typically, which is when we are slowest compared to others in the race.
Also engine modes... Remember that they are still using the race engine during practice, therefore are probably been careful about it (besides stressing it a bit during the last couple of races for the last laps fireworks)... Between Fuel Loads and Engine Modes, it can make a big difference in practice.

Engine modes too, but the difference is so huge I think there is more to it such as a slower car under higher fuel loads. And we are seeing the same again now in Qualy. Are the team really sandbagging that much about how fast they are??

If Racing Point is legal. How did they manage to copy the whole car and the interior and made it work immediately? Why this year and not before?

So question. How much time you think we might lose from chassis and engine compared to Mercedes?

Used tyres for the second Q3 run???? Why?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.
