I wonder how much will that Mercedes Engine give us next year and I wonder if we will be able to use any loophope when we create a new chassis for the Mercedes Engine to gain an aerodynamic advantage. We will be the only team able to remake our chassis for a new engine.
It will be interesting next year. Regulation are restricting any major changes to the car. I'd not be surprised if they're slower next year, just cause they might not have integrated the PU as well as they like to. I mean, I don't expect it but it is in the realm of possibilities.

With regards to Hungry, I doudt the Merc PU gives you any advantage.

To be honest if it’s damp or threatening rain, you really don’t want to start on mediums. Much harder to get heat into the tire

That is why I believe the car is much faster than what we have shown today.

Considering we didnt do a second run as we didnt have fresh tyres we probably could have gone more than a second faster than last year not to mention not an ideal set up.
Do you have the comparisons for Austria also?

You guys don't get it.

You don't spend enough time on full throttle for the PU to make a difference. Look at how much faster Ferrari are here.

McLaren's balance issue can be explained as..."The type of curves they have here are such that if the tune the car to remove understeer in some of the curves the end up with oversteer and slower in other."

Like I said, it’s mostly chassis related deficit and probably in Mercs case, power unit integration in the chassis Most of the gains are “under the hood”. Just look at how much less volumetric the bodywork is on the Merc. It’s mighty impressive

I've always found Merc to have larger side pods. Let's not forget they have a longer car. At any rate, all that is cooling and not part of the PU you get from Merc/Honda/Renault/Ferrari.

I want to add, the tightest package has always been RBR, even when they ran the Renault PU. Its not the size of what you have but how you Engineer around those restrictions.
