Everything went wrong in the race. Our race pace was on par with renault and i would say rp but most of the race carlos and lando were stuck in traffic..

We might have lost that 2nd place as expected by Mercedes and Red Bull but we must be currently 3rd if I'm correct. Next Race Silverstone and Mclaren is bringing an upgrade package that might turn the tables. I hope at least.

Now we wait to see what will the FIA decide regarding that Racing Point. No way they could have made a full copy of the car work without any outside help by just copying photos.

Last year they were 7th out of 10.

Seriously Zak Brown. You have two weeks. Fix this situation. In Silverstone we need that large upgrade to give us the upper hand and we need the team to get their act together fixing those disastrous pit stops and bad strategy calls.

Not our day today, but pace was decent and if I'm not mistaken we're still 11 points clear of Ferrari and ahead of racing point in the standings albeit drawn in the points.

Poor day at the office all round. No point in dwelling for the team. Time to move onto the next 2 races at silverstone with the anticipated upgrades as planned. Here’s to hoping those work out as we all hope. Still a good start to the season nonetheless for McLaren despite the poor day today, let’s not lose sight of that!

I am not issuing an ultimanum. All I am saying is that the team should not repeat that bad performance. And it's not rubbish. More like a good critisism by a long term fan from the 80s and 90s to a team that is fighting to get back up there but does amateurish mistakes from time to time. It frustrates me knowing that they can do even better but these mistakes are a setback.

So far this years pitstops are terrible costing us points. Then the whole weekend the team were struggling with set up. If they want that 3rd place they need to start behaving like at least a 3rd place team. You can't do these kinds of amateurish mistakes.

Exactly... This is still the best start of a season for Mclaren since they switch to Honda back in 2015... Everything that could have wrong went wrong today, from the start, to the pitstop and I would dare say the tire strategy... But, hopefully the team will learn from this and move forward.

Given everything that happened, Carlos finishing in the points is the biggest silver lining today.

As I said everything went wrong this GP. Problems all weekend with the set up, bad start from Norris unfortunately and unfortunately bad pitstops. Hopefully they can turn the tables in Silverstone.
