I could see RedBull and Perez. Big market in Mexico and the USA. Perez seems pretty laid back, but guaranteed he will push the RedBull car to maximum points 95% of the time.
I can sorta see Haas offering Hulk a seat and Hulk turning it down. It just doesn't make sense if there is no chance of a podium. Haas has to really convince Hulk of this. Hulk may have a better chance of podium at Alfa.

There is some talk about 2 F3 and F2 drivers who will soon have super license, but Marko is saying he is not considering them at this time.
Tsunoda seems to be more and more impressive as he gains experience in F2 =D> (his F3 season seemed similar, starting slow then picking up the pace and contending). Given Honda would prefer Tsunoda, I guess he can be all but confirmed for an AlphaTauri seat!

So basically what youre saying is even tho Perez is clearly a better driver and comes with tons of money.
You still want Hulk because hes a nice guy?
It's not unprecedented. Red Bull already refused to promote Sainz because they feel he cannot work alongside Verstappen -- the politics already went badly for Red Bull the last time Sainz and Verstappen were paired. So why pick Perez, when Hulkenberg is a friend of Verstappen? This fits with Red Bull's narrative of Verstappen's number one status, and choosing drivers who will cooperate harmoniously with Verstappen like Gasly and Albon.

Of course, at other teams Sainz seems to be fine politically, likewise Perez. Who knows? :wtf: Anyway, that is what it is.

I can not help but feel Albon is a better (race) driver than either of them, and hope things smooth out for him.
If he gets through his rocky patch, I think the team will be glad they had patience.

I thought Sainz didn't get to RedBull because he's not as good as Max and Ricciardo. Then jumped ship as he knew he was likely to rot at Toro Rosso. No one expected Danny to leave when he did.

Totally agree. Albon shows a lot of promise, the difference is that he is only just out of his rookie year so he still has to develop further.

Interestingly if you look at how the Racing Point drivers react to questions regarding their future it's looking more likely that Stroll gets pushed out instead of Perez.

I hope so, as Perez and Vettel will make a very strong team for Aston Martin. 2 cars in the good points often.

Otmar has said that Perez helped Hülkenberg find a faster race pace as that was his weakness and in terms of tire management he had also helped him. Vettels a veteran who would love to be in an environment where everyone is working as a team. A atmosphere like that where your teammates even part of your team. Instead of him and his team being your "first rivals" as is often the way in F1.
I would love to see what happens with Vettel if he did drive alongside Perez.

I highly doubt Sergio teaches anything to Vettel. But the collaboration effort when it comes to car set up. That alone would mean we saw the Car at maximum at every race. At least in terms of tire balance, plus speed with Vettels input.

Vettel plus Pérez not a Bad pairing at all.

Vettel does not play well with fast teammates. I can't see it working.

Webber was friction
Daniel was friction
Charles was friction
Perez is just as good as all the above so friction expected.

Not doubting you, as you obviously read it, but would Perez have been at the track? Surly if he could attend then he could race, or if he was not passed to race should not have been mixing with the team or driver?

Did he not mean when the 2 drivers were team mates at force india?
