Looks like a "daily driver" Ferrari...
Unfortunately, I feel that the C8 Corvette @ $60k will eat most of this target market in the US.
The Corvette isn't in the target market for the Maserati. That's why there's 120k difference in the price tag.
Says you?
What is the direct competition to this Maserati? Just having a higher price tag doesn't move its category.
I can make a shovel, and sell it for $50k, that doesn't make it a non-competitor to the $25 shovels on the market.
Yes, says me.
No one thinks "hmm I've got 200k to drop on an exclusive sports car so I'll buy this cheap 60k one instead".
Also, the market the Maserati is in is the market for exotic Italian sports cars, not American muscle cars. They're different products for different markets chasing different customers at different price points. There is no competition between them in the marketplace.
Sure, there will be competition on the pages of magazines and in youtube drag race comparison videos, but that's not the same thing at all.
As for your shovels comparison - people buy $50 shovels when $25 shovels are available. The more expensive item will have an exclusive brand attached to it. Just like people buy $5000 Rolex watches when a $100 Seiko is available. The people buying the more expensive item aren't in the market for the cheap version. The expensive one is all they want.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
