Other sports can look at F1 and say, he's got the best car, blah blah blah. At least in F1, every race, Lewis faces Max, Seb, Charles, Danny ect
Snooker, like Tennis is a sport where you can get to a final and win without playing someone who isn't ranked in the top 10. So does that take anything away from the winner? no, but if your being critical it can. Ronnie just needs to shut up, although chances are it was just a tongue in cheek comment that the media have used in a way to have yet another pathetic dig at possibly the best sportsman the country has ever produced.
