2021 Team merch is out. Interesting that there are no Mercedes-Benz logos on them. Past merch has had Honda and Renault logos
It depends on the level of partnership and the marketing deal between the two parties/teams.

Damn.... My bank balance is going to take a hit.... 😝
Favourite driver: Lando Norris

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

McLaren spent their tokens on the rear to fit the Mercedes power unit. They had already made their slim nose before the deadline, so they don't have to spend tokens at the front.

Didn't they have issues towards the end of last season too?

If you’re not having issues, then I guess you’re not trying hard enough.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Well I hope that’s Mercedes HPP philosophy too

Looks like they certainly haven’t sat back on their laurels waiting for the others to catch up if they still have a few issues to work through with the updated PU

🤞they get on top of them quickly

Its just a line taken from Mercedes recent youtube video re 2021 engine. If you watched it then you hardly notice him saying about the issues compared to seeing the article headline looking quite dramatic.

I think its just the issues they are almost expecting to see and used to seeing when pushing the limit. As others have said.

Would suggest Merc want top dollar for the PU and wouldn’t accept a discount for more ‘sponsorship’

I’m gonna wait till we tee off in Bahrain for the first race to buy some merch, a Mercedes star might have appeared by then🤞🏻 It’s be nice if it did👍🏻

I wouldn’t worry to much about it Mercedes has always had niggles at the start of the pre season I remember in 2015 they were struggling to get the car fired up an when it did it only fired on one cylinder look how solid the engine went to go on it’s better to find it now then half way through the season

Some news here that might interest folks.

Losses for Mclaren Racing stood at £71m in 2019, but with income increasing to £185 million, up by a whopping £60m.

https://www.planetf1.com/news/mclaren-l ... -71m-2019/

I assume that this also includes the Indy entry costs, since income went up by £60m but losses only came down by £13m.

By the way, tomorrow is the actual car launch or livery launch? Any news about time, streaming platforms, etc?

It's been a while since McLaren did a livery launch (In fact I cannot recall them ever doing one). They tend to show the actual car, even if some details are placeholder / hidden.

its definitely the car launch, on twitter they are talking about meeting the new love of your life...fyi, that's NOT Daniel Ricciardo
