It make sense for McLaren and Aston Martin who are cars makers not to have the name of another car company on their F1 also
HAAS also has no Ferrari branding, Sauber of course another FCA as main sponsor, but no Ferrari. Williams has it since they were quick in 2014 (but I don't think they have it on the engine cover anymore?) and the George Russell money.

It's just Renault I think that wants their name on all the cars their engine is in (except RedBull after their row of course)

I love the new car, the livery is more or less the same with some subtitle changes and we all know that the most important thing is the speed not the looks ... although I always say a good looking car is always a fast one ;)

I guess Mclaren has gotten us used to very big livery changes since 2017... But, I’m glad that we are getting to a point where there is an identity now and will just expect subtle changes in it.

The MPX cars (Marlboro liveried) were pretty much the same every year... The Vodafone Mclaren cars were very similar every year

The orange of the recent years is something different indeed. But, it’s also a bit of a reminder that McLaren still hasn’t been able to sign that big title sponsor. Although Brown has done a good deal trying to fit in as much as small ones as he can.

He’s basically got one in BAT, they are his principal partner that pay $50m a year accordingly...

Definitely have a principle partner in BAT, however like yesteryear we are missing the big secondary sponsors like Mobil1 was for example! The blank engine cover needs a sponsor below Dell in my opinion, car looks bland without one

I thought the title sponsor thingy has been put to bed years ago? AFAIK, McLaren have moved away from chasing title sponsors.

I just wish they'd done something a bit more interesting with the blue. The 2019 livery was the best they've had since the Vodafone days IMHO.

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have a different view. I like the livery but I think it's gotten too busy. The 2018 papaya livery is my favorite... with a few more stickers than were on that car. I'm glad the MCL35M engine cover has some blank space here

Love it. Fingers crossed we can close the gap to Red Bull at least and stay ahead of the green Mercedes.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

Didn't expect much from the car, as it's basically last year's car. But that livery is SO boring ...

Imo the Car looks great and is yet another tasteful, yet highly unique*, livery from McLaren.

*compared to the rest of the grid.
