It appears that high rake cars can work much better with the new mandatory floor shape regulation.

In which case the FIA/Liberty's desire to slow down Mercedes has been successful. A bit like back in 2005 when the tyre rules were changed to slow down Ferrari. And Alonso took the title.

If it turns out for real like that, I would assume you are right.
From what I gather, the two teams that are underperforming are Merc and AM. Both with low rake.

Right now Sainz is doing a much more consistent and faster race sim than Leclerc in the morning session. Don’t know if it’s up to a setup change or some other factor.

Been watching on the timing app. He’s been extremely consistent in the 1:36’s on hards. Like a metronome.

1:36 is slow, if this is their race pace it's not good. I would expect 35's on race pace and a full tank. They could do 35's back in 2017.

Some 8-tenths off Tsunoda, and 2-tenths ahead of Leclerc, which seems plausible.

At the very least, it would be a lot of fun if Red Bull and AlphaTauri are among the (very) fastest teams at the Grand Prix.

No I never said that in my opinion. I just conclude of the timetable and I saw the YouTube summary of day one and two. Merc seems to have „won“ a loose rear end where’s the RB and AT and MCL seems like on rails. I was only referring on the floor regs..... However RB is a safe bet I guess
