How impressive is Fernando? Can’t draw any conclusions yet, but his level of adaptation is amazing!
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Alonso was on hardest tyre during his fast lap.

Not so bad testing!
Reliable that’s very important

Now, I still see a tough season.
Mercedes/Red Bull and McLaren clearly ahead.
Aston, let’s wait to see, and Alfa Tauri can be difficult to beat as well

And there is Ferrari also

Yeah that race sim from Alonso looked about 0.6 slower than Mclaren, but fractionaly faster than Ferrari, AM, AT and AR.

Driver heights: Alonso 1.71m, Ricciardo 1.8m, Ocon 1.86m (tallest driver on the grid)

Checking pictures of last year's Renault R.S.20 with Ricciardo, it appears like Daniel was similarly positioned as Alonso. It might well be that Ricciardo's was the maximum for the ideal position, and that Ocon's height is just about the maximum the car can take while still being legal (as the helmet must not extend above a straight line from the front of the cockpit opening to the roll hoop).

I initially thought that perhaps Ocon is preferring a higher seating position, but given the likely aerodynamic disadvantage, I guess it's just his length that plays against him.

I don’t think it’s possible to draw any meaningful conclusions from the winter testing results.

But it’s fun to speculate nonetheless :). My feeling is that this car will be very strong on some tracks and very weak on others, I say this because of their unique aero philosophy, which I think will have some specific benefits and downsides.
