This looks like just aero, I don't think this change would require any tokens.

A new front wing?

This reminds me a lot more of the 2019 style Ferrari front wing than what I saw during launch.

Edit: It might just be the angle of the shot, and the wing flexing.

Second "Power Bulge"

Post

In the team's official twitter feed, they posted a very low quality video of a pit stop from within the garage that said "Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team
Filming Day content coming soon.
🙏
"

If you pause the video and skim through, the car looks different - and it looks like there is another bulge above the lower plenum/power bulge that Allison talks about. What is this? I thought it was the camera/wing that is mounted near the airbox inlet, but it's not.

Parts of the livery look different, too. Is this a revised W12? Is it a W10 or different car? Or is the video just too grainy to tell? I wasn't sure so I figured I'd ask.

Even Scarabs thinks something is still coming, specifically rear suspension/ gearbox cassette, or nose/front wing.

Also it looks like they did some kind of testing today, as that doesn't look like a camera mount on the rear wing endplate.

I think that’s just a reflection on the red paint there. Lighting is a tricky.

Nice spot.

I’ve seen that device on the car before during testing, including when they were running rear aero rakes.

Yea, it looks exactly like what they use to support the outer edge of the aero rake. I do find it interesting that every shot/video Mercedes released today has been from the front or very grainy. It Kind of gives credence to Scarbs speculation on a new rear suspension or gear box. Could also be a new diffuser as well.

I read some place that they where using the almost 2km shorter Sakhir Grand Prix layout for filming. If so that would let them get more laps in for testing changes.

Interesting to see what it is.
I really doubt that social media team has this type of insight.

Could be, but it’s odd that the “object” is there throughout all the frames of the video, whereas reflections typically change with motion. Hard to tell.
