Mercedes W12

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I kinda like the sandblasted look of some of these parts... THIS BIT doesn't look sand-worn at all though  :

This picture's sending my brain on a trip... Is that just the diffuser ramp starting in the background, or something more funky's going on there? I'm really not sure now... What do you guys think?

I think its just the shadow and nothing new is there. It will be the same car as 2 weeks ago.

Shadow? What do you mean? I circled the ONLY light area ahead of the tyre.

Yes. there is a shadow in front of the light area. It's a diffusor area, just the light are tricky. but i hope i wrong.

You are correct, its the diffuser area. It looks like it's in front of the tyre but it's actually behind. The only way to tell is to pay attention to the tyre though otherwise the perspective is confusing.

Are you sure? Here is a picture during the test. That circled area looks similar to what the arrows are pointing out in this pic:

NOTE - THIS IS A PHOTO FROM THE TEST A COUPLE WEEKS AGO - Just to be clear

Not the best quality and not the exact angle, but do we notice anything different?

I don't see anything obviously different.

One thing I do find interesting, is that we haven't (at least I haven't) seen any photos of the rack of front wings/noses that normally sits outside the front of the garage on Thursday!

I'm beginning to think there isn't any such new item. I think they really do have a diva and the floor changes have hit them hard.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
