Can anybody show me what on earth people are on about? I'm looking at before and after pictures and can see nothing along the lines of things now open or token spend?

They're just making stuff up. What they are referring to is the area where the top floor dips to the reference plane. That's just camera angle and light, there's no difference structurally. Can't really tell from that photo as the angled cut-away" section of the floor on this year's car can give the illusion there is more rake.
