According to crash.net and pitpass jordan has announced MONTEIRO AND KARTHEKIYAN to be thier new drivers for 2005

both are newbies, i wonder why they did that, but apparently KARTHEKIYAN (thier #1 driver) is fast and reckless (where have i heard that before !) and MONTEIRO is technically good and fast.

what do you guys think about that?

KARThekiyan... great name for a driver!!

should bring in a lots of viewers from India to tune in, and mabe some revenue...

also remember that Jordan has brought in some great talents over the years to F1.

Well, they are paying for the seats so, at least, it's a money / quality combination.

Good to see a portuguese again in F1 :D , anyway. They have both had some good stuff done in lower formulas... but 2 rookies :? :? ????It will be a hard year for Jordan / Midlands...

true,

but they already said that this year is a test bed for midland f1 team coming soon in 2006. So how popular is F1 in Portugal?

I read in Autosport this morning that Benson and Hedges would consider pulling the plug on their sponsorship if the team didn't sign a British driver for '05. The article said that Ralph Firman was in the frame. What with the internal issues the team have at the moment too, unfortunately the future doesn't look too rosy.

Well a happy day here in Portugal...the popularity here in Portugal has dropped since 1994....it is extimated that only around 10000 (ten thousand) fans do watch qualifying and the race....and buy related literature.

I lived in India for a year & managed to catch a few of Karthikeyan's Formula Nissan & F3000 races on TV.... from what i've seen, he's kinda shocking.... I thot Sato was over optimistic but this guy buts Sato to shame..... He has to visit the gravel trap during every race meet but his unbeliveable luck manages to get him race finishes & sometimes podiums as well.... One thing's for sure he outclassed Enrique Bernoldi in Formula Nissan..... He's an ok driver but it's not gonna be easy..... Especially with a new team/ management/ mechanics. I feel he's gonna have a tough time at Jordan simply due to the fact that the guy who designed his car has left the team! Hang in there Narain!

Really? So this guy is fun to watch then.

I mean a podium for Jordan is unlikely so atleast it will be fun to watch him drive (some entertainment).

It might be a repeat of Jordan 2002 then.
