F1 uses Safer-Barrier now like Indy and NASCAR, right? I know there are still some tyre walls out there tho...
that assumes they actually come into play though. For Example this is because of a sausage curb.
Peroni had a concussion, and fractured vertebra, that caused him to miss the rest of the season.
The "commentary" of that video is so out of place to the highlight they are showing. Almost comical if it weren't so serious.

Page 4 is where track limits are addressed, and apparently, they are looking at T1 & 2.

Given what i've been seeing i think if Verstappen leads into t1 there's a race, if Mercedes leads into t1 there isn't.
If Verstappen leads into T1 there's no race, it's just him demoralizing everyone.

That’s clear as mud. It says “during any practice session or the race” : eg during qualifying its allowed???

So if you use the old circuit you cut basically, well, then, there won't be much corner cutting. Running wide on turn 9 means kicking up a bunch of kitty litter and destroying your floor anyway.

How do you cut the chicane? The only way is to use the old circuit instead. In other words, as long as you use the stupid chicane you're A-ok.

Concise is a word I don't think I've ever heard used in the same sentence/statement as FIA. I'm sure we'll see multiple more revisions after the drivers meetings.

I think that technically qualifying counts as a 'practice session' under their terminology for this sort of paperwork. Happy to be corrected though.

I also think so. In all their documents for Portimão they only use practice session and race as referring to the events of the weekend, yet they also monitor track limits all the way through quali as well.

Qualifying is classified as a practice session. It's "qualifying" practice session as against "free" practice sessions.

I kinda expected him to blow the doors off everyone in Bahrain but that didn't happen, so i'm gonna wait and see.

Good chance the RedBulls are faster in the first few laps on tires, Mercedes faster after a lap or six.

Maybe we will get another one of these.

If it doesn't rain will a one stop be faster than a two stop? It'll be cloudy on race day.

S S M maybe?

Or do you gamble and start on mediums? To do the one stop?

The bottom 10 can all start on hard tires and go super long.

It's a double edge sword because of how powerful the undercut is.

However you can drive the hard as aggressively as you want it seems.
