The gap from Mediums to Softs according to Pirelli is 8 tenths... That’s too big of a gap to be comfortable with when the grid is so tight.

Yeah, gaps are way too small. 5th to 13th covered by 2 tenths. Lando did a good first run.

Danny Ric might not make it to Q3 if he doesn't go faster than that. He is almost half a second slower than Norris. He must come close to at least a tenth. On another note that was the difference in 1997 from the first two teams compared to Mclaren in 1997. From 7 tenths to a second. Next year though we all saw what happened with the reset back in 1998.

so we have semi new tires on Lando

Lando aborted his lap before the end of the first sector... It was clear that he was going to be through to Q3 after a few of the other cars set a time and when Leclerc couldn’t better him.

So far so good, close to the Ferrari’s

wouldn't say semi new either... but Lando didn't do finish his last lap stopped after sector 1 cause no one was improving

When it’s this tight I think it’s pretty much ideal. Again Lando leading the way. He’s at one with that car.

Not sure what you mean by that, I thought that was solid. Lando has more in the tank heading into Q3 as he didn't make use of track evo there.
