Man, those Mercedes strategists are sure dumb.
Just think of how many more races they would have won with forum posters calling the shots.
They have made a few howlers but not today. They’ll have earned tonight’s curry.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 16:31Man, those Mercedes strategists are sure dumb.

well at least the second part of your statement is correct!godlameroso wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 15:33Verstappen is starting to gap Hamilton. Surely Mercedes and Hamilton are the fastest combination.
Agreed I should send in my resumeHoffman900 wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 16:31Man, those Mercedes strategists are sure dumb.

1 stop probably seemed flavour of the day, Lewis pushed him so much (with the knowledge he was going to pit) after the first stop RBR just had to stay ahead and manage. I think it was more of a trap than RBR messing up
Yes, now everyone will say how briliant Merc tacticians are but in fact there is nothing Red Bull could do whatever strategy they choose they would lose against superior Merc race pace and having Perez so far back not being able to help
They would have to pull a 1.4s pitstop for that. Hamilton gained 0.8s trough second and third sector alone. Add a few tenths trough first sector out the box and there's not way you can cover than undercut.
It wasn't the strategy, max didn't have the pace. Lewis spent an obscene amount of time on Max's gearbox well within the undercut envelope.
Well, they didn't win so by definition they messed up I guess.
RBR too darn slow?
