The car changed to Mercedes Engines this year. I don't see how Lando had experience with them.

In any case if Danny has to go to Q3 he must be at least half a second from pole to be safe.

I wonder how better the car could have been had we been allowed to do full changes to that engine part and not partly changes due to restrictions. If Monaco is representative of a car's aerodynamics then Mclaren is very close to the top teams.

Also I don't see why Danny is struggling with the Mercedes Engine that much. Lando doesn't have that problem.

Even if that was the case that should not have been an excuse. Sainz has delivered from the get go to Ferrari after changing from Mclaren that had Renault engines.

With the first runs in Q2 done, Lando seems to be safe into Q3, Dani in the bubble, but he did a great lap in his first run! He is getting in his grove it seems!

Both cars in Q3 will be a great result given how much he has struggled here.

That hurt! If anything, it would have been great to start P11 and not behind Ocon on and Alpine that seems to be lacking pace.
