Is it bad that I am hoping for a gearbox change in Charles's car?
They made sure it was a crash that only damaged the front of the car.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

I’m actually hoping for 3 freak gearbox changes for the cars ahead.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Stellar lap from Lando. 9-thousands off Carlos. But team execution during quali has been shocking this year...poor Daniel
What makes you say that the teams poor quali execution has cost Daniel?

I think P5 was the best Lando could do today. He did right to pit as I don't think he could do better than that. Only 2 tenths from pole on a slow corner circuit. On another note Leclerc might start behind Norris if he damaged his gearbox after that crash.

Do you think that Lando could have found one or two more tenths on his second lap?

Great job by Lando, no doubt... only a couple of thousands from P3 on a track that isn’t the best for the car, it’s simply amazing

I’ll second that👍🏻
Bravo Lando and I also liked how he and the team ran a long run plan in Q3. 6 laps in total

What a pity. Less than half a tenth of third place
P2!

In hindsight, with the red flag, their strategy worked out but Lando has not done a proper run at the end of Q3 for several races now.

My execution comment was more about Daniel not getting to start his final Q2 lap for the second time this season

He is 50ms from P2, surely he could have lucked out into that.

It's possible others (especially Verstappen and Bottas) could cover that but it could have been P2 very easily.

What bothers me mostly is Ferrari getting a lot of points from Monaco while Mclaren has Lando only tomorrow as Ricciardo is so far back. Unless some accidents happen which will rattle the order.

Stings a little that we could have goten pole if we could find 2 more tenths.

This is a track team expected to struggle heavily. It's amazing to see that even on such tracks, the car is up there!

That is true. The car is a good all rounder and let's hope the team bounces back to 3rd place in the next few races which will suit our car.

On another note I would say let's wait for tomorrow's race cause anything can happen. Nothing guarantees that the Ferraris will finish in front. It's Monaco.
