Endplate are new but they are similar to the Monza-Canada-Spa endplate spec too (the upwashing element above "Eurodatacar" is removed in that low DF spec, like in this Baku RW)factory_p wrote: ↑03 Jun 2021, 15:57https://twitter.com/AlbertFabrega/statu ... 39/photo/1

New rear wing endplates for Alpine in Baku. Might be track specific or might be a permanent evolution.
The Y250 treatment of their flaps have to be one of the most unique in the grid... It’s definitely a very different conceptSevach wrote:

And the adjuster for the upper element is cleverly a vortex generator that creates outwash for the front wing.diffuser wrote:They are, just about, the only team with undercut on the sidepods....SmallSoldier wrote: ↑03 Jun 2021, 21:59The Y250 treatment of their flaps have to be one of the most unique in the grid... There's a lot of different things. The upwash element is gone, instead the neutral element has become a downwash element, and the slots at the bottom of the end plate, are in line with the vortices being shed by the floor. It will definitely make the wing more efficient...I hope.Blackout wrote: ↑03 Jun 2021, 18:43Endplate are new but they are similar to the Monza-Canada-Spa endplate spec too (the upwashing element above "Eurodatacar" is removed in that low DF spec, like in this Baku RW)factory_p wrote: ↑03 Jun 2021, 15:57https://twitter.com/AlbertFabrega/statu ... 39/photo/1

Interesting! They look to have gone to a more inboard-loading build for the elements, the previous profile looks to be trying to trade-offa bit of downforce against boosting the Y250 vortex.
