Definitely, but why? What’s the point in hiding your pace? It’s not as if it makes the others go slower.

Lando would have had a 43.0 on Fp1 if he hadn't spun. They definitely have more in it just based on the natural progression of the car throughout the weekend. I doubt they will be 0.7s behind an AlphaTauri come qualifying.

no clue but, I've realised they just displace their lap times, if they go fast sector 1, they turn down sector 3, and vice versa...

was watching Lando's quickest FP3 lap live. he was not even remotely pushing. I'd be very very surprised if McLaren is not in contention for Row 1, at worst Row 2 esp. with the Merc debacle

Probably the team want to make sure they dont put themselfs under preasure of expectations... Just look at Ferrari. How many times in their history have they fallen shirt of the weight of their own preasure

The time has arrived to see if the team is sandbagging or not.

Norris literally cannot catch a break this weekend. He was on purple S1 again here and there we go, Red Flag. Will he ever complete a proper lap around here?

That's 2 sets ruined for McLaren, just as Lando was about to set a time. Disaster!
