I'm fairly certain the radio message was from Latifi blocking him at turn 3, where he actually lost time. Lewis was well out of the way in T7.

I think so too @SiLo. Anyway stuff like this happens all the time in FP sessions.

I say that because Mercedes still is faster. Redbull is closer then ever (in the V6 hybrid age) though. It is the first year they stand a chance but imho Mercedes is still top dog. I hoped for today redbull yes. But the two mercs are in the top 3 again.

But ok, it is not qualy yet.

Some of the most pre-eminent clip producers on this forum are involved in this discussion. Why not cut a simple onboard clip and show us this massive obstruction.

So, next to emotions running high, as always, do we think we have now already seen the teams close the the limit in FP3.

Only last year there was a 1 second jump between Q1 and Q2. Will we still see that today?

I honestly feel this was VER complaining about LAT but it got played at a really bad moment and Sky ran away with it. Much to do about nothing imho. Let’s move on

I don't think so, as all the top drivers did multiple laps after their fast lap, so they had extra fuel on board. Lewis, Max, and Sergio both did 5 extra laps, Bottas did 6.

The pit entry has always been an issue at this track so im expecting some more cries of blocking by the drivers today. Especially the midfielders.

I see nothing wrong in that clip at all. He’s well out of the way and off line.

Mercedes have the faster car this weekend.
Nope. Not according to the official number crunching on the f1 website. Redbull 2 tenths advantage in race pace.

I’m wondering whether Perez actively sets his car up entirely for race pace over qualifying? Probably makes a lot of sense strategy wise for the grand scheme of things, provided he doesn’t get caught out here but I’d imagine he’s safe.

Yuki was good here in FP2 as well. And yes, he certainly does. There are also a few corners here where you can make the difference. Perez was struggling with fuel for several laps. Has to go again on a new set.
