Mercedes lucky Bottas had that penalty. They have been spared from a difficult call.

I get the feeling that the way Lewis charged through the queue he was making sure he got in front to give Bottas a tow.
Possibly, it’s in his interest to have Bottas as far up the grid as possible.

Although possible but my feeling is that Hamilton wanted to be unaffected by the cars around him. Supporting this would be him taking his first two attempts by himself

Pole was never happening here for Merc. They tried a new setup. It helped but you can't turn a donkey into a thoroughbred. Car had lower grip overall and not brilliant on the straights.

Congrats to Max.

He should win tomorrow if his tyres hold up. merc quarter second behind in pure pace.

He messed up then, as he was way too slow out of the last corner for an optimum sector 1, and too close to the Ferrari to not get disturbed by its wake.

Mercedes is the fastest car no doubt this weekend. Mercedes 2 and 3 RBR 1 and 5. Max is making that RBR look competitive. What a driver.
Give me some of what you are smoking.
That's all i can say.

It seems! I really did not expect that. Lewis had 3 runs even. A few small moments here and there and Max was really in sync with his car. Too bad Perez could not bring it on the first two rows. Tomorrow Max versus Lewis part 9. Now I am really curious who has the pace. Can Max finally put 3-5 seconds between himself and Lewis in stint 1?

And Norris versus Ricciardo. That is a real hard blow. Just as Ricci was getting into the groove.

Norris is doing to Ricciardo what Ricciardo did to Vettel.

0.25s per lap tomorrow.
Redbull 5 seconds up the road by lap 15.

Redbull looks very stable in the q3 replay. Max maybe had more time in the car too. He wasnt on the limit in Q3.
Perez.. lets see. He clearly underperformed in qualy. I think his balance was off.
For those who are saying Perez is showing the pace of the the car this is not true. Pereze himself saying the tyres was too cold and he wasnt pleased with the balance.

I do not know what to expect tomorrow in the race. Mercedes need a mistake from Max, a safety car, rain, or Lewis mind games to win.
For Sure!!

The Mercedes looks really lazy through the corners, plenty of understeer.

Verstappen is going to walk this race, providing there are no safety cars or reliability issues.

Oh Yeah, of course, Bottas goes to P5 and Perez moves to 4, not 6
