Weather for Australia 2009?

Post

I know it is early, and the weather can change in the drop of a hat there. But, has anyone heard what the weather might be like for the Australia 2009 weekend?

Man, I was kind of hoping for rain at the first 4 races, so when the European swing came, we would still be in the dark on who has the best package!

Looks like it's gonna be warm (27C), dry and very light wind...

With this years 5PM local race start, could we see a very dark race with the predicted cloud cover?

Has an F1 race ever been called because of darkness? or started so late before?(other than Singapore)

What unexpected events could the drivers/teams run into with the late start?

Sunset is about 7:20 pm

I think they will have enough time to finish the race before sunset, but surely the tires will work differently when the track gets cooler, say by the midpoint of the race.

You're probably right. They will need the visors perhaps.
But I really hope there is a dry race. I wanna see if the test pace was legit for certain racers (ahem, Brawn).
