Wow. That's some really nasty stuff. As soon as that became public his position at RBR became completely untenable.Diesel wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:08If anyone is interested, this is the tweet that exposed the employee. Sharing it this way so that the content doesn't load on this site, as it's quite offensive.
Apparently the employee was gloating about the fact he was initially just told to delete his social media and go under the radar until this went away.Code: Select all

EDIT: For the avoidance of doubt, the employee was factory team at Red Bull Racing, so perhaps not as far removed as the press release has tried to suggest.
They're trying what they can to down play it for obvious reasons. It's not a one off event, it's a history of messages across different chat groups etc. Nobody suggested it was in direct response to Silverstone, but if this person held these views they clearly weren't a fan of Hamilton.
For the record the tweets are disgusting & unacceptable
I don't think anyone can state "unequivocally" from what we've seen, we're lacking the context behind many of the messages.El Scorchio wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:37It's unequivocally not directly to do with Hamilton so no-one needs to worry about that.
Fair point. I should say what was captured doesn't have any specific reference toward Hamilton himself and doesn't appear to be motivated by him, although it's very clear it's a tirade against black/mixed race people in general, which of course Hamilton is.Diesel wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 17:01I don't think anyone can state "unequivocally" from what we've seen, we're lacking the context behind many of the messages.El Scorchio wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 16:37It's unequivocally not directly to do with Hamilton so no-one needs to worry about that.
RB would be crazy not to go after George if they have the opportunityaMessageToCharlie wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 13:09Perrez 1 sec off VER's pace in fp3.
Who can they bring next? Russell? I doubt they could persuate him, but it would be a master stroke. RUS is one of the fastest guys out there AND they would take him from Mercedes and weaken them long term.
Or is VER really that good and it doesnt matter who you put next to him, they'll always be .5 to 1sec slower??
Isnt Albon struggling in DTM currently? I think he's more valuable for RBR in the simulator.
