Esteban Ocon secured a surprise win at the Hungarian Grand Prix after the usual contenders eliminated one another in the first corner at the start. Sebastian Vettel finished second, Lewis Hamilton salvaged with third after ending up at the back early on.
Ah case closed , Horner also admitted verstappens first run was comprimised by being to close to Leclerd so why not send him out after Vettel or before to do a run on an empty track just because of track evolution ?
I personally had no problem with Hamilton pacing himself on the out lap and creating some distance from Bot. He did however decide to finish that last lap even though he clearly gave up on it (he was 2 seconds down) probably wanting to still give Verstappen some dirty air at that last corner. He could have just pitted. Again nothing against the rules but he was definitely playing some mind games.
Whilst they do sometimes abort and dive into the pits, it’s probably smarter to take an extra lap to cool down, given parc ferme conditions apply and there’s only so much the mechanics can touch.
That’s the risk of going out at the very last moment. Ocon was only a couple of seconds in front of Bottas.
With both Mercedes having solid laps on the board, Red Bull was just pushing their luck waiting so long. One off track excursion by anyone would bring a yellow flag or RED! Call it a s'tragedy' error.
Looks more like someone was more busy with the guy right in front of him then preparing for a lap.
To play the devil's advocate a little bit, maybe he thought Lewis was going too slow and wanted to pass him, but the former wasn't letting him thru.
OTOH tho, looking at Bottas, it wasn't as if Lewis had a lot of gap to play with, if at all.

He was definitely trying to impeed anyway he could. Very very dirty by him.
But I expected nothing less from a person that celebrates after sending someone to the wall.
Watching outlap on boards of bottas, hamilton and max, it doesnt really seem lewis held up max on purpose. Bottas started the lap with a gap of 7 secs to ocon, lewis started the lap with a gap of about 7 seconds to bottas ( per engineers). The TV feed made it seem like he was holding max up but it was a product of cars ahead of him. At most, he held up max by 2 secs at the final corner, but I even doubt that was on purpose. Lewis is not a dirty driver
Before anyone accuses me being a lewis fanboi I am far from it. I think he was at fault at Silverstone and deserved a bigger penalty. Today's incident was on Red Bull miscalculating when to send drivers out perhaps. Just unfortunate, but we have a great lap 1 on our hands tomorrow
