Lando literally had no diffuser left after getting hit in the rear. They had to change the floor otherwise it would have been useless to race with that.
Such horrible luck. Both cars were so good off the line too. Lando has massive damage all down the left side, but Daniel looks fairly unscathed. He could recover from there.
Can't get over on how unlucky you have to be to get both your cars --- in the race start. China 2019 flashbacks, only that these incidents are far more costly this season when the cars are decent enough to compete for very good positions.

After watching how the floor looked, the red flag may save his race…. There was no way he could have finish the race with the amount of damage he had

The entire commentary team Jinxed Lando the entire weekend about his point scoring streak, ugh.....if it rains Bottas just needs to not participate..........
Apparently it wasn't just the diffuser / floor. They couldn't fix everything. Not surprising to be honest, he got hit everywhere. In the rear from Bottas, and in the front he bashed into Max.
I hate to be that guy, but thank god Stroll took out Leclerc with him at least. Would have been a disastrous race in terms of the constructor's otherwise.
