QotD2 (second Quote of the Day) - HAM about Alonso move: "At that speed that's so dangerous man".
From the mouth of the same man who didn't think his own move at Silverstone (at far greater speed) was dangerous.
Yep....it was a bit of a joke how the Willis were passed....pure fly by on the main straighRyar wrote: ↑01 Aug 2021, 17:26That's what F1 has come to now for some. He played the perfect rear gunner.
Gutted for Hamilton, but I suspect he would've snatched +14 points with his eyes closed against Max, had he been offered it at the start of the day. He really needed 2 or 3 laps tops to win there in the end.
He really does. The man is spent
This. Would have been last in the pit exit queue for sure.
Nice trolling.proteus wrote: ↑01 Aug 2021, 17:25Defending against Lewis is illegal now?Shrieker wrote: ↑01 Aug 2021, 17:12If not for Alonso's staunch (and illegal at the end there) defense, Ocon wouldn't have won. He played the perfect rear gunner.

That's because racing hard for 70 laps is hard work. People forget, I think, that these machines are still hugely physical to drive wheel to wheel.
I agree. It was superb. Best duel of the year by far and so key to the result of the race. Edge of the seat stuff seeing them dance round each other so closely lap after lap.JordanMugen wrote: ↑01 Aug 2021, 17:29Yep, certainly a bizarre thing to say.
A robust and fair defence by Alonso for sure.
I was just making a statement.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑01 Aug 2021, 17:32That's because racing hard for 70 laps is hard work. People forget, I think, that these machines are still hugely physical to drive wheel to wheel.
Not at all. Stewards had no issue with it.
I’m glad it happened. It made for a wonderful race.Tvetovnato wrote: ↑01 Aug 2021, 17:31This. Would have been last in the pit exit queue for sure.
Good recovery drive nonetheless. The Alonso battle was epic, and shows the old master still has it!
