I did think that Seb stopping, apparently out of fuel was a potential fuel sample problem, although the Sky F1 team was insisting it was OK. Russell stopped as well didn’t he?

Disqualify Seb, look deeper, I am sure there is some technical or sporting ground on which Ocon can be disqualified too. Hope some drastic s*** happens and the season can't be proceeded further. Atleast it would spare the further onslaught of a weird luck on one individual's part and all the misfortune on others'. Hand it over to Mercedes and Hamilton. Let's be done with it. =P~

I am not neutral anymore and it suits my argument to say Mercedes are faster but you know? I'm not a driver and even if I were, I don't think I'd get a chance to drive both those machines. I doubt anyone can. All I know is that Max would be leading the championship in either car this year with luck being equal because he has not made any race ending mistakes and been vastly unfortunate. But hey? The media is all British as are most forums and the sport, so let's just ignore all that.

Lewis is great. Max is just lucky driving a great car. Let that be the narrative.
Schuttelberg, you were already long time on the 'nice to read' commenters, but in this post you say it exactly as I see it. =D>

And it is even more than an opinion.
I am by no means neutral but enjoy posters who, although have their preferences can still have some objectivity.
Glad to know someone else feels similarly and I am not abnormal although we definitely are 'outsiders.'

Would this promote Hamilton to 2nd?
Yes. Unfortunately Max would also be promoted to 9th. Still, 2 points gained.
In fact Max would loose more pts in relation to Hamilton.
Yes, that is what 2 points gained means. Lewis will go from 15 to 18, max from 1 to 2. 2 points gained.

as long as you stop when you still have a liter of fuel, there isn't a real problem. Maybe a reprimande for not returning to the pit.

There was only 0.3l in the car, I think that is a disqualification automatically.

Fact that we are discussing DQ for a few litres of fuel or driving past the pits or wearing t-shirts on an Aston Martin, a Williams and an Alpine driver who took his maiden win and not how a RBR will take a 10 place grid drop for a bloke running into him and getting a 5 place grid drop should echo what is broken in this sport!

Sorry Seb but I’m all for Lewis moving up and Sainz getting another podium if it does go through.

The wind is going to blow Sainz’s way one day and he’ll catch a win. Hopefully it’ll be on merit next season.

So, we should change the rules to "Max can not be punished for anything and is outside the rules"

It’s like red flag car repair.

When it is Lewis doing it, people want the rules changed.
Max car fixed today, not a whimper

Vettel had 0,3 indeed. that's a DSQ normally. No info (at least that I know) how much fuel was in Russell's car.
