Yea ... it says right at the top

Eh? I'm agreeing that Alonso did a stellar job not making any mistakes and being fast in exactly the places he needed to be. When he finally made a mistake, Hamilton overtook him.Wouter wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 13:35Even Ross Brawn said it was a masterclass and he did a great job and so did a lot of other people.SiLo wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 13:04It was pretty obvious that all Alonso needed to do was be fast in the last corner and then not make a mistake at the first corner. T3 around the outside is always going to be difficult if the other driver is willing to compromise his line through it to the extent Alonso was.
Don't really need to discuss it further, feels more like people just wanting to "win " an argument
rather than accept the facts of what actually happened.
Most team principals congratulated Alonso for his great driving defence.
They all didn't "accept the facts of what actually happened."
Then I completely misunderstood/interpreted your message. My apology.SiLo wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 15:21Eh? My point was more than the people saying Hamilton should have breezed past are wrong.
How has the experience of racing in 14 seasons playing out? WIth a rookie mistake in Imola, an "accidental" knock of "Brake Magic" in Baku, lack of awareness in a high speed turn taking a car out and almost ending his own race in Silverstone. Seems like luck has replaced experience there.ringo wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 17:01Max is in front of his bathroom mirror telling himself he knows he is faster than Hamilton. Hamilton is living rent free in his cerebellum all season long. Let's see if Max's imagination is reality in the second half. He is exposing his lack of experiences and weakness of mind with these outbursts. He only adds more pressure to himself and attracts more badluck.
This really makes my day!
Seems like Lewis is living in your head rent free too? Everyone makes mistakes, they’re human beings. Even I made one once. Alonso was like 6-8 tenths faster than Petrov, not 2.5 seconds. He also didn’t have DRS.NathanOlder wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 10:01And you'd be right of it weren't the Hungaroring or Monaco. Then add to that one driver is fighting for the title and the other is not.
Quite simple really. Like Alonso on Petrov all those years ago. One had a title at stake, the other had nothing.
The order in which you mention this, shows the level of ‘importance’ to you- stop trolling by stating a P2 by Hamilton is a perfect result for fans of the sport.End of the day Hamilton got P2. and F1 had a new winner. Perfect result for fans of the sport. The race was really good.
Max was almost lapped struggling to overtake half a Mclaren that lost 1 second a lap to damage.
So it's a really good job done by Mercedes to be ahead in both championships despite not having the most stellar first half in terms of operations, strategy, and speed of the car.

With the timid Tsunoda behind him, really Tsunoda it's really getting to him, the guy has the speed but being compared to Gasly will be the fork in the road - and the media insinuates he is under pressure yet he is actually not bad, kinda like how Kvyat was not too bad in that seat as well. His radio after swapping with Gasly was quite...interesting to say the least, but people do like him because he has the outlook of a humble person from a noble background.
Kvyat would not have been overtaken by Hamilton like a F2 driver with only 1 sec pace difference.politburo wrote: ↑05 Aug 2021, 21:51With the timid Tsunoda behind him, really Tsunoda it's really getting to him, the guy has the speed but being compared to Gasly will be the fork in the road - and the media insinuates he is under pressure yet he is actually not bad, kinda like how Kvyat was not too bad in that seat as well.
