This could have been avoided had they been hearing the drivers and now they costed us points for their decision.
It was a mistake from Lando. He lost the car. He is not guilty for trying his best though. He risked it a bit too much and sadly it caught him. In my opinion the wet Pirrellis are not up for the job.

Besides Lando will have to penalize to change engine. Weekend to the trash...

At least Lando it's okay, but that's so bad man. We were in for a good one here. Now it's going to be P15 at best after penalties :/
I’m afraid it will be pitlane start
Since what we saw at last race, it might be a blessing from the sky.

There are still possibilities. Maybe pit lane start tomorrow turns out good because of no park ferme. Maybe no more qualy today and Q3 tomorrow.

That is so unfair. We beat everyone on merit today and especially the reds but yet Lady Luck is hitting us again. Bravo to the FIA for screwing this up.
Why would you blame FIA? Because they didn’t red flag it? Lando did a lap and decided to go for it… This has nothing to do with FIA.

It is unlucky though
Vettel said a minute earlier from the crash that the session should be red flagged. FIA is to blame partially but the team also should have protected him. Maybe they did tried but Norris wanted to run. He wanted it this P1 so bad and he deserved it. So frustrated..i jumped from my couch..

Anyway, now we have to deal with this.

just one of those things. A real shame as really thought he had a shot at pole - so did he probably, which is why he went for it.
Yeah I get why but you don't mess around in the wet at Spa. So much risk in the wet on that track, at every section, you can be more patient if you're confident you can get the right lap together.

Its gone now. Unfortunate but what can you do. Besides, tomorrow is the important day. If things are chaotic there are still chances for a good result.

Ferrari are going into parc ferme with a setup that didn't workout great today, so lets hope we have the pace to beat them tomorrow.

Not sure why this is the FIA's fault....

First thing I thought when I saw those conditions was, it's a hell of a risk to go out first.
One of those decisions… If it would have kept on raining, he would have had potentially the best conditions on track to put a good lap in… Watching the replay, it wasn’t that much the water on track, he simply lost it.

The FIA is partly to blame as they didn't hear the drivers warning.

However nothing is lost yet. If Lando is as fast tomorrow as he was today I expect him to clear his opposition one by one quickly.

I guess Norris learnt another lesson today. Until the accident, he was again showing from what he is made of!

Doesn't matter anymore. Considering there might be same conditions tomorrow he can even win from last place with a good strategy. Remember 2003 Australia with Kimi and Coulthard doing the 1-3 starting from last?

Unless it's changeable conditions, from wet to dry.

A new engine is not bad at Spa. Nor is timing your stop in the changing conditions. Having a better setup for the race isn't too bad.

All to play for still. Doesn't mean we will win anything, but its far from lost, even from the pits.

It's the tyres in the weather on that track, not just the water.

If you're first testing the conditions you're taking a huge risk. Given his speed through the sessions, it was a rash decision, full of young confidence and bravery.

Patience would have won though. Expecting more changing conditions tomorrow to, so how important was that pole? Not as much as we'd think.

for all you know Lando may have thought he was being cautious - he got caught out. Definitely not all over given just how well he was performing. You can almost guarantee there will be safety cars tomorrow. He can certainly pull something out of the bag if conditions are variable - lesser drivers than him have done it before
