If reports are correct and it's his left elbow that needs a "precautionary" x-ray, then I'm not too worried. Really the main risk in an elbow is dislocation, and he wouldn't have been moving his arm after the crash if he'd dislocated it.

I suspect he has some swelling and soft tissue damage and they're just being safe. IIRC he used both arms when climbing out of the car, so a fracture is very unlikely.

Fingers crossed he can race tomorrow.

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

first and most important thing is glad to see Lando walked away from such a big crash. Yet really gutted for him coz we really got a high chance of getting the pole today. tough luck.

Nice one RIC!!!
No. Absolutely not nice. He is 1-1,5 s slower than Lando. One of the weakest performance from a Mclaren driver in 25 years…

Yep but he has just the right amount of aversion to walls today. Today in history will always appear as Dan out qualifying Norris regardless of the reasons. Put aside all the BS and tip your cap to him today. Tomorrow is another day.
Facts are facts. Just check out the results of the qualifying and race. It’s similar to Lewis-Heikki. Only we can hope that Ric will be better in the next season.
Nevertheless i guess Norris has taken a huge step forward making him the same level with Verstappen and Hamilton.

Just watched Quali.... it’s a hard life being a Mclaren fan ain’t it??
Can’t help but feel Lando would have challenged for pole but instead he’s unfortunately in the wall🙈

Good lap by Daniel though👍🏻

Do we know if Lando is starting P10 or P itlane?🙄

Def pitlane I would say. The car was absolutely destroyed.

I think so too but I’ll hold out in the hope he’ll start on the grid in P10

Yeh that cars pretty much scrap, the gearbox and suspension was hanging on by wires and tubes it’s a write off. The engine and tub might be salvageable but it’s be better to just build the car from scratch and start from the pit lane

Would be starting P9 not P10. No harm in [-o< no matter how unlikely

Wouldn’t have expected anything less from Lando when he found out about George’s result👍🏻

I think the team should just replace everything and take up as many penalties as possible. Also they will be able to predict weather conditions a bit more accurately and maybe finetune the setup

The sad part is that the team put a new PU (3rd one) in the car for this race. Also starting from the pit will keep him safe from another Valteri torpedo or any other 1st corner incidents :)
