My only problem was the half points for no competitive laps. As Vettel said (paraphrasing) if you want to give out points for qualifying... then do so but then don't say these points were for a race cause there wasn't one.
If no one got any points, it would have been a total waste of a weekend for the teams - it was the best option for a bad situation. F1 does not have the ability in the rules to award points for qually, this was the only option.

Right but the rules say no points for quali. They kind of made their own rules. The rules should be made clear for a situation like this ......

Don't forget if you're saying that you're using Quali numbers basically Perez is getting screwed cause he spun out on the drive to the grid at a time that we said the track wasn't raceable.. That actually Gave Ferrari more points (or atleast half points). :)

Well are you or aren't you giving points for Quali? Also if you giving points on Quali Norris should have gotten .5 ...no ? but he got 0 cause he had to replace a gearbox for the RACE that never happened. Basically he lost half a point cause he couldn't make it to the grid or take part in the procession without replacing his gearbox.

Both Ferrari's got points because of Norris (above), Perez (incident on formation lap) and Bottas having to replace something ...ended up with a 5 place grid penalty.

Anyway...I want to move on for several reasons. This isn't gonna change anything and doubt we will have another SPA 2021 in my lifetime...

Amazing stuff, =D>
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Pitty nothing was said on that MINI Cooper. Interested in knowing if that is Paddy Hopkirk's.

In the other hand, Norris took a grid penalty, that he would otherwise have had to take at the next race and ONLY lost 0.5 points as a result.....
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Andreas Seidl in regards to Norris attitude:

“First of all, I think with everything Lando has shown so far since he entered Formula 1 is clearly showing that he has everything he needs in order to become a top driver in the future in Formula 1,” said Seidl, when asked about Norris’ attitude of no incidents, which is how title contenders usually go about their business.

“He’s only in his third year now, but it’s impressive to see what he’s pulling off inside the car and also outside the car, in terms of how he works together with the team and how he voices clearly what he needs from the team in order to perform and all of his qualities. For sure his personality and character is very self-critical, as well, and is the first one to raise his hand if it’s something on his side.

“That’s an attitude I like a lot, we like a lot in the team and I want to have this culture attitude from every single member of the team because that’s the only way for getting better as a team and moving forward,” summed up Seidl. In fact, Hungary for Norris was his first DNF of the season and in a long time to come from the 2020 season.

Lando's motor is fine and the team plans to use it at Monza.

There is a feeling that our pilots feel comfortable, the lap times were improving all the time, but it's too early to talk about the balance of forces.

Ah just read that Norris didn’t get a good lap in, I thought his fastest time looked similar to the one he set on the medium👍🏻
