Can't wait for Lewis to make his new team mate look like another Bottas. And the trolls to come out from their caves screaming favouritism and sabotage lmao
If it's Stroll, yes. If it's Russell, I have my doubts.
Bottas had put it in 3rd place in qualifying for the 2013 Canadian GP in the wet, in a shitbox of a Williams. His performances in the Williams granted him the Merc seat, but not guaranteed beating Lewis. That is a tall order. Which I suspect, Russell will swiftly find out too.
Williams finished 2014 and 2015 in third place, 2016 in fifth place. They were far away from being a shitbox in the hybrid era. Simply because especially at the beginning of the hybrid era it was almost all about the PUs and Williams had the mighty Mercedes PU in it's back.

Stroll would be a great choice to put alongside Hamilton for an ez #2. Russell is going to give Lewis fits, i believe.
That's what they said about Heikki, Jenson, Nico and Bottas too.

That first 2022 qualifying session should be fun. Granted, Bottas and Nico were extremely fast in qualifying beating Lewis occasionally. It's the race where they fell short.

I think Mercedes 2022 is going to be a repeat of McLaren 2007. I think the young charger is going to upset the applecart. George has nothing to lose really - if he doesn't beat Hamilton, well Hamilton is statistically one of the greats so no great surprise. If he does beat him then he's made himself a legend. Win, win for Russell. For Hamilton it's a win, lose situation. If he beats Russell, well he jolly well should, etc.! If he gets beaten then he's going to be feeling like he should retire while he can.

If it is like 2007, then someone else is going to take the title, just as Kimi did.
So long as Hamilton doesn't try to blackmail Toto, it'll probably all be ok...
Why not? any driver that could, probably would.

Its not the same really, because just like Ocon versus Alonso, you cant really say its peak Alonso and you cant really say this is peak Lewis. I think George has to build his legacy against his contemporaries. Max, Charle, Lando etc.

What it does mean is 2022 we have Ferrari and Mercedes with 2 top top drivers. Mclaren may have if Ricciardo sorts it out. Alpine, Aston and Redbull all have 1 driver and will struggle when in battle and no help from team mates.

Did doing well against Alonso do Hamilton any harm? Sure, Alonso in 2007 was at the height of his game, but Hamilton is still up there at the top too. He probably won't be the defending champion next year - Max is going to win 2021 unless something weird happens - but he's still punching hard. Beating him isn't going to have people saying "yeah, well, Hamilton's an old man, it was easy", is it? Beating him gets him a seat at the top table. Bang!
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Why? no other teammate has given lewis "fits"
Lewis also hasn't had a team mate that was super quick, and 15 years younger than him as well.

It going to be ALO/HAM 2007 all over again, but this time it isn't going to be in Lewis' favor!

Except in 2016 when Nico beat Hamilton to the WDC in the same car... :wtf:

Lando wins in 2022 then. I'm happy with that lol
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Hamilton hasn’t had a teammate that’s super quick? You must be new to F1, or ignorant of reality.
Scratch that, you’re nothing more than a troll.
...because a real troll with no data, just puking emotions, is the better option?

No, the only quick, non-patsy team-mate beat him to the WDC in the identical car.
Can you take your trolling elsewhere?
Alonso got beat in 2007. I guess he is "slow". So was Heiki. Oh and rosberg 2013 to 2015..i guess those were not beatings?
Hamilton got nothing to prove. 7xWDC, all of his stats are top 5 of all time and there is nothing you can do about it.
GOAT 8)
Trying to prove he is no good is a waste of your time. It's just nonsense.
And would love to hear your opinion if Max loses the title this year.
For Sure!!

Tied on points, beaten on count back. Official result was Hamilton second in the title, Alonso third. That's a written in stone fact.

Please explain what do you mean? What does 2016 have to do a with new teammate partnering Lewis? I am lost.
