People have hype for Schumacher, but right now, I don't see Sainz out of Ferrari unless he starts to struggle, let's see, but right now he can't do more btw with Haas...Jolle wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 14:09I think Schumacher is a very good example how the support of a junior program benefits not just getting the right seat, but also the benefits of the right coaching, sim work, etc. We’ve seen him make several jumps in performance in his feeder series years. I don’t think he’s reached his limit yet. If he carries on like this (he seems to be a good student), I’ll see him replacing Sainz in a couple of years.
So, even is Gio isn't in the grid next year, he can't use 99 yet. Only, I think after two consecutive seasons of the number not being used again, it's "back in the pool" again.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 15:19Mazepin posted this, he has been using number 99 previously but couldn't in F1 because of Giovinazzi

Yeah, very much so. And like you say, the number is reserved for a year or 2 so Maz wouldnt be able to use it anyway, what a fool.Jolle wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 15:33So, even is Gio isn't in the grid next year, he can't use 99 yet. and by the way, if this is a "hint" to gio not in F1 next year, it's quite a dick move from him. but... wouldn't be his first.
Agree- completely unprofessional and fairly cruel if this is at face value and he knows Giovanazzi doesn't have a drive for next year. Especially before any formal announcement regarding his future has been made. And also shows he doesn't even understand the number allocation rules.Jolle wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 15:33So, even is Gio isn't in the grid next year, he can't use 99 yet. Is there any mention of the number of years anywhere?
It's got to be. Probably with the option for more. They'll want him locked up watertight, as unless he inexplicably can't handle the pressure, he's the future of that team.JordanMugen wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 17:27Is there any mention of the number of years anywhere?
Surely it is at least a three year deal.
It's much more LIKELY that Ferrari will do a swap with Schumacher and Giovanazzi,El Scorchio wrote: ↑07 Sep 2021, 17:03Agree- completely unprofessional and fairly cruel if this is at face value and he knows Giovanazzi doesn't have a drive for next year. FOM should just prohibit him from ever using #99 if that's what he's done.
