Yeah, that's a much more pleasant post! And the last quote sounds like a very feminine sweet one!!!

I've finally watched the footage from the race (not easy to see Nascar in Portugal...) and I must say that a contact between front fender and rear bumper is a little too much... That's JPM allright, the ultimate racer that takes half the field and doesn't rest until he's on the lead. Reminds me about certain moves he did last year.

That said, I understand Pruett's frustration but let's not see this with open-wheel racing's eyes. Contact in tin-top racing is waaaaay more acceptable and Scott, if he had seen JPM (which he should have), could easily defend his position by leaving a little room for Monty (just enough not to be spun out as he was) and getting the inside line to the following corner. :P

Well, thank you. I still think Juan behaves sometimes like an... well you know the word.
Everyone does. Good thing is he seems to know that about himself.

Ciro, I thank you for your previous posts. I was trying to be "objective" because I had to put together a few articles about the race, and when I read your posts I realized it doesn't mean saying what everyone else says.

I already had my doubts about "objectivity" in general. I studied history after all.

Montoya's spotter's blog> http://www.texacohavoline42.com/news/bl ... cle-12.asp
... Throughout all of this adversity JPM was staying cool and collected. He knew that he had a great car, we just needed a few breaks to fall our way. As the race went back to green it was unbelievable. Juan was passing cars like they had the parking break on! I was barely able to "clear" him before he was beside another car. In a matter of about 10 laps, JPM was in second place with the leader in sight...and it happened to be our teammate. After passing around 20 cars to get to him, Juan saw a hole under him entering turn 1. From my location high atop the grandstand, I saw the same thing. Pruett's entry into the corner was so high, I thought to myself "wow....he is going to let him go by" and in a split second Pruett turned hard into the corner directly into JPM's path. I could not believe it. The 41 spun, and it sucked because our goal was to have a 1-2 finish. Although the contact was controversial, Juan put on an impressive display of driving...

Do not appologize to me, Ciro. Maybe I should appologize to you. My post was meant to be humorous and apparently fell quite wide of that mark.

This about sums it up. Virtually all nascar commentators would agree with this....

Igniis Fatuus, let me put it this way (no harassing intended): I love you, from the bottom of my passionate latino heart. What a link, woman!

Ted: may I apologize for you apologizing to me for me apologizing to you? :D Please, don't try to go on like this... I'm humbler than anyone here... In fact, I'm the most humble guy in the world and I have the prizes to prove it...

Manchild: if the "person" from North Carolina turns out to be a guy, I'll give him your e-mail, don't worry.

Thank, guys, you "lifted" me again...

It's looks like I'll have to put you on my list of persons to kill, when I want to save Ignis for myself. But don't be afraid, JPM is on the first place on this list and I'm not going to kill my favorite drivers  .

Viva Montoya!

Evilda, how dare you!

Ciro, it seems he also has some Latino blood in him. Must be the French ancestry.

Well, MildaEvilda, if you want to kill me, you'll have to stand in a long, long queue. There are a lot of NASCAR fans that have the same intention...

Anyway, ať žije Tomáš Enge a MENX! We used to get the GT championship here... Not anymore.

BTW, did you congratulate Igniis on the International Women's Day? I just did.

Hats off to Kate Sheppard, gentlemen.

Well, we should stick together and not kill each other for women. Enemies are many ;-)

Of course, MildaEvilda! You have to pick them carefully... I won't dream of touching a hair of your head: I can imagine how Igniis must be when enraged. :D

You know, arabs say (this is some kind of lame joke, pleeze) that "friends come and go, but enemies are for life".

A warm embrace from Colombia. As DaveKillens say: c'mon, people, group hug! (no, Manchild, not you, until you make clear what your interest on the North Carolina "guy" is...)
