I like the Papaya and White livery, it's a nice blend of Mclaren today and the Marlboro Mclaren.

Not my favourite Singapore Livery though, which was...

I've just noticed how the front wing endplate is made for the amazon logo..
I like this, I'd like it more if there was more white on the front/nose
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Rear wing is legal

https://t.co/0wHUsk4pB6
It was tested at the track, it was legal as of 1h30 after the race. Only question was whether we were going to have to change it due to a clarification. That FIA releasefrom today explicitly leaves that door open. But I don't expect anything this year.

Is there a particular time at the event that the FIA are officially notified and publish a team's updates? I'm picking there will only be the usual reversion to high downforce aero at this event and the major updates will be at COTA in three weeks.

It's a lot like their Spain livery last year. A bit of recycling going on
From the side, yeah, from the front there is now white on both the wings too plus Papaya on the top of the nose. I wasn't a fan of the triple crown livery but this seems a much nicer job to me.

Singapore is under the lights, this is why I prefer the dark and brooding liveries they bring here that possibly wouldn't work in daylight races, but I'm sure this will look good under the reflection of the floodlights. Still, it's the place where more black will actually look better and they cover the car in bright vinyl.

It isn't likely a wing will be used in that form before Las Vegas I would think, so nothing to lose, provided the FIA make any decision early.

Wasn't it 3 hours before the start of FP1? If I recall It was something like an hour before the car display, which last for 1 hour and is 2 hours before FP1.

It may well be that wing, it's our second lowest DF wing along with the new Ultra Df wing, which has the potential to be at Vegas, though I don't think so.

So they are saying the car is legal but they could add a new test to make it not legal for future races.

Btw I wonder if it would have been picked up if we didn't have 30 laps of TV footage of McLaren rear wing with Leclerc in DRS.

I doubt they'd do this as I think it would add more weight, but my car is an almost pearlescent white and looks fantastic under both sunlight or artificial lighting. (Obviously I'm biased, but you know what I mean).

That sort of white would be fantastic on the car along with the papaya....
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

I think I just really like the neon pink on black with the two tone papaya! It looks nice and aggressive.

I love the ''retro'' livery from Mclaren for this years race, great job,.... just the google chrome branding on the wheels makes it a big ugly for my taste in this color scheme.

This is the livery they should have all the time - suddenly starts to feel like the same team I grew up with.

Well, it was there, clear as day, in a few onboards in Monza, and a bit less clear in a few onboards in Spa. But none on those in the main feed, you have to chase for the few laps with rear facing cameras.
So my guess is that this could have slipped under the radar had it not been in a fight for the lead, from the lead, in the main feed, with the right light for contrast.

This is true. And in your opinion which situation McLaren would prefer? To be in the lead, P1 and full focus on his RW (and maybe to be banned by FIA or copied by other teams in the near future) or to be P2 or P3 and this design to pass unnoticed?

P1 for me everyday of the week.
If it gets banned for Austin it doesn’t matter, it was worth developing it because Oscar won in Baku.
Same as the rear wing Lando used in Zandvoort (if that has the same ‘mini-drs’, it was described as being ‘more efficient’)
Just a fan's point of view
