I can't remember any team ever hiding some stuff in testing. It just doesn't make sense, even less this season.
For example it has happened that some teams used new stuffs at the first GP.
With only two weeks to the F1 start I do not think it will be the case if not to correct issues discovered during test. Do you agree?
They might sandbag, but they wouldn't want to hide or not run any car parts they intend relying on.
All the teams will be stocking up on sandbags about now. I mean, you need to keep the stuff out of the garage, right?

Remember how everyone said this was a much better test venue than freezing Barcelona?

Will that much sand not going to affect or even harm the PU?

This is either going to suck because teams won't get enough testing, or it would be awesome because teams wouldn't get enough testing. That weather looks nasty. Does the forecast indicate it'll clear up soon?

Hahaha so true! I think this afternoon could just be a write off as far as anything meaningful is concerned.
I wonder if the sand is going to be particularly damaging for the cars when entering intakes or between bodywork joins, either?

They don't need flow vis, just water spray onto the car and follow the mud

It very well could be. These PU's are so complex, I'm pretty sure that sand getting into those tiny pipes, wires and ducting could cause some damage. The various filters and radiators will feel it for sure.
