I think it’s a drain hose outlet. Williams have something similar.

Never really been confirmed though.

Probably started after Barcelona.
People noticed in the first Bahrain test that Audi's rear wing wasn't closing properly at end of straight. So this probably already happened in Barcelona which is why they redeveloped the wing.

There's definitely a new bulge there at the base of the sidepod that can partly be seen in the subsequent image. It's much wider at the base and tapers down with height.

May anyone help in understanding what the flow viz pattern allows to see? Take this image, upper flap: some outwash is visible due to the tip vortices plus the flow stays attached where the colour is uniform. But there is a clearer line (with less paint) on that same flap which to me is less obvious. Is that transition? Separation and reattachment?
