LH track performance in recent years was a shadow of his past, not sure if its due to the car or age.
And F1 cars with its hybrid engine, is a lot more complicated and there are so many different setting drivers can make to get the best out of the car. Switch from Merc to Ferrari is perhaps like switch from PS2 to Xbox gaming console. And this is part where LH may be still be struggling.

Perhaps with age drivers may start to experience decline sensory function which make it harder to adapt and drive at the limit with full concentration.
Uhh a shadow of the past? Of course he's not in his prime but his 23 was awesome and the wins last year were nice as well. You act like he's crashing every other race lol. Everyone needs to take a chill pill

What does he mean by “throttle rate”? I’m guessing lost in translation

“This analysis shows McLaren's strength, but the number to pay attention to is the full throttle rate.
Less than Max and Russell

As you can see from the telemetry, the car is taking turns at high speeds.
This means that the aerodynamic stability in steering is incredible.”

The LH of the past rarely get beaten by teammate in qualifying or in race, but now its 50/50 chance.
With Charles in Ferrari, I think it may be 60/40 in Charles favor. '

Like all champion from the past, no one stay at the top forever.
Same goes to Max, eventually be will be beaten in the same car if he stick around long enough

It’s really hard to tell if HAM drop in performance isn’t mostly car related because it 100% lines up with the regulation changes in 2022, right up to that point he was still considered the best driver on the grid…

From the onboard comparison, looks to me like Ferrari lost a lot of time in the straights. They were definitely better in the corners tho (as compared to VCARB) as Tsunoda had to lift in some high speed corners while Leclerc went full throttle

Edit: Nvm, Tsunoda was earlier on the throttle at almost every corner in S3 :|

Hamilton almost got P2 in the WDC in the 3rd or arguably 4th best car in 2023.

He is still really good, but he was clearly extremely frustrated with mercedes and was running out of patience. Alonso also tends to have peaks and valleys in his performances when the car is crap. It isn't an indication of a lack of skill or talent, but rather an indication of a lack of patience.

He's doing just fine still. He might not be a match for Leclerc, Norris or Verstappen at this point, but he's still a great driver and is far from destroying his legacy.
If he is at his prime he will be faster then these three, just that I want to say.
Problem is now, Lewis haters use loosing to team mates as proof that he was just average driver, so in that sense he is ruin his legacy.
People forgot that Lewis at his first year often defeat Alonso-two time WC.
What the hell is this? A fake quote that isn't written by me.

This is very clearly not written by me and the quote redirects to a completely different comment. Don't put words in my mouth please.

Something went very wrong after friday, i have no idea what yet. The car was significantly slower in S3 compared to FP2 despite running way less fuel.

first victim is Vettel 4 time WDC
second victim is Saniz
third victim is Ham 7 time WDC
they are making a point that Lec is far better than Vettel and Ham.
the left over WDC in the grid is, Alonso and Max. They won't touch Max, so they may hire Alonso and make Lecrec is a great driver and he beaten all the former WDC. I believe this is statement they are cooking for a while.....

If Ham feels it is not his place, he will 100% retire.... or May be replace Alonso in AMR in 2026/27....

I think in some ways he thought the transition would not be this dire, but is certainly that. The chassis is unpredictable, they went with an entirely new game plan on the last year of the regs, and he is still figuring the steering wheel gadgets and all the different terminologies Ferrari uses. It's like learning a new language, and he is scrambling, and he is 40. It will take him the better part of the year just to get all the tech and coms worked out.
No surprise with this anti-ham nonsense from you. A year to figure it out 😂. If Ferrari do their bloody job on the pit wall, he likely bags a podium, and none of the above nonsense or criticism gets posted.

Wonder boy CL spun, got mugged by Tsunoda and had a bad day too. Where’s the lengthy post on him? Didn’t think so.
An unnecessary anti-Hamilton post followed by an unnecessary anti-Leclerc post. sigh

Neither driver was the issue. Both had (albeit imperfect) fine races. Anyone taking potshots at either is off the mark.

I'm enjoying McLaren's speed NGL but anyone targeting Ferrari's DRIVERS is nuts. its all about the car for now. HAM and LEC are clearly greats.
Anyway, Ferrari has bounced back quickly with the current mgmt. structure (even after last year's mid season slump) hoping to see them back near the front v soon.

Ferrari hasn’t had a driver problem for over 20 years! They just can’t build a competitive car is all…

At this point, only Hamilton's post race interview is giving me hope. He said something along the lines of 'I believe there is much more potential in the car' and he looked chill overall.

Im sure Lewis would bring some luck in this team so fingers crossed lol

I don’t believe that raising the car higher on Saturday is due to wear on the underbody strip; most likely, the lower Ferrari drives, the more it damages their gearbox or is there a problem with the rear suspension
