And the 4.5 sec pit stops...-wkst- wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 09:48RB and Williams were faster, but not much. Haas and Alpine about the same pace, Sauber slower. Ironically the gap to the front isn’t that huge anymore, but It’s gonna be a long year if they don’t find 2-3 tenths compared to other midfield teams.
Slow speed and traction are the main limitations of this car. That kills the tyres too.
I dont think Lando is that top tier guy. Sainz outperformed him with worse luck over a decent amount of time.Big Gun wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 01:26Dude have a look on youtube what Alonso does to train his reactions and eyes.ispano6 wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 01:08Funny, you're now the eye expert on top of the weather expert, after I was the one who brought to light this eye condition that affects people our age. Have you experienced presbyopia like I have? You don't need to say I don't understand something I do understand, and stop trying to 1-up something someone else said, it's rather childish.Seanspeed wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025, 22:40
All fair points. I even posted a video specifically to support the idea that eyesight is super important for top level competitors in sports.
It's still incredibly speculative, though...
And no, there's no chance Alonso wont have had his eyes checked. lol Come on now. You dont understand how absolutely pampered these elite level sports guys are from a physical standpoint. Alonso especially has always been huge on having great trainers and whatnot. His eyesight wont have been completely forgotten in all this.
It obviously working because most driver are washed at 35. But Alonso Doesnt have a family etc and is crazy motivated. Apart from Max, Alonso is easily top 6.
Honestly If I was a team owner and had a winning car and could chose any driver just for 2026 season, my 1st choise would be Max, Lando then Alonso.
A bit marketing for himself too, after some critics in the last time.
Alonso's words after the race. He thinks they're not even top 18.
This is why I am losing faith that Aston Martin will be a frontrunner in 2026. Something that the team can control immediately to make a statement of intent, they choose not to do. A championship winning mentality requires striving for perfection in area, yet Aston Martin is complacent with being the slowest pit crew in F1. These frequent 4+ second stops are unacceptable and make the team appear unprofessional.OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 10:07And the 4.5 sec pit stops...-wkst- wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 09:48RB and Williams were faster, but not much. Andy Cowell does not have a magic stick. He has only been operating for a few months and has clearly identified the team's weak points and is correcting them. It will take longer than it probably should, but the adjustments to the team will only translate over time into performance.TyreSlip wrote: ↑06 Apr 2025, 14:27This is why I am losing faith that Aston Martin will be a frontrunner in 2026.
