It's a bit ironic that the day Alonso and Aston Martin noticed the skid blocks after Brazil, Mclaren gets a double dsq the next race. So this is my main question, were McLaren doing this whole season?
We will never know the answer to that question :)
Call a spade, a spade.

Spicy....P2 now equal points for Ver and Pia.
P4 and P5 are taken, but we see Ant with his third podium now in the hunt for Ham.
Top10 now nice fight between Hulk, Sai and Had.

Whatever fan you are...could it be better at the end of the season?
Not a fan of one in particular , but this double DSQ mixes up the points nicely for the teams.
And Merc actually having 2 cars on podium today is a pretty good result for them. Shows that even if the car is not super both drivers are there to snag some points up when the opportunity comes.
Also Hulk picking up more points for Sauber. Wonder where the Alpines went today. Haas also 2 cars in the top 10.
Nice end to a pretty boring race for some teams.

I’m giving up on this stupid sport. Just wasted hours watching a so-called race that was decided by faceless officials in an office off the track. It’s as bad as 2021 and I’m not going to waste any more time on it. --- pointless farce.

both cars got severely damaged by Bortoleto right at the start, according to their post race statements.

Anyone else noticed that now after the comment of Sainz about the coverage of the race , they left the "partner of" cameraman at home this race ?
They did instead show Sainz following leclerc for a whole lap showing he was too far back to be interesting, while at that point they missed Verstappens pitstop and keeping his place before Russel.
Well at least Sainz got the coverage he wanted although there was no overtake in it this time.

Ah yes the bowling ball action. wonder of he will get a penalty it seems that this race everything was allowed again without proper penalties, someone drove into piastri also , but this race that was a "no further investigation" , maybe next race it will be 10 seconds again. Would be nice if the FIA would let us know before the race which of the rules they can keep too and which ones they wont care about.

Bortoleto already got a +5 for next race.

well FIA will get their wet dream AD ending to maximise their profits and viewership. regardless of legality this has to have stemmed from their tip off this week on the skidblocks...

So all the teams can just run massively illegal cars, knowing they stand no chance of DSQ because a fan doesn’t like technical regulations being enforced.

Unless something catastrophic happens, Norris has basically already won the WDC. Piastri was the only chance to make anything exciting, and he seems to be nowhere mentally after seemingly losing faith in the team to do right by him.

So no, I dont think it's all that exciting. Just waiting for the season to finish at this point, and I think Norris will be one of the most underwhelming WDC's in a long time. He's been straight embarrassed by Verstappen so many times this season.

Never forget we all have a somewhat voluntary stockholm syndrome and are factually donating our attention to 10 sticker selling companies, so the real sport can take place in our wallet.

A team not meeting the car specification (accidentally, I'm sure) is nothing compared to AD21 when F1 literally broke clearly defined rules and made up their own process on the fly to criminally manipulate the race result. I say criminal, because from a betting point of view, it was nothing less than result fixing, which is illegal.

This is going to put McLaren on the back foot now, as they will have to play the tolerances super safe in the next races. Add with Norris likely crumbling at some point, and it's hard to see past Max WDC.

Given the disgusting and non-transparent way McLaren has supported Norris over Piastri (the pinnacle of which being them celebrating the WCC without him), I hope they lose it now.

Max can take p2 from Piastri easy the way he has been performing so for him it will be a bit of a mental blow , what happened and where it went wrong. The whole season Piastri has always come into the weekend needing alot of time to get the best out of the car , with the sprint weekends you don't get that time and you must perform after one training session.
