They are damned if they do, damned if they don't. I don't like it much but if it was like Lando said, his own gesture, it's OK I guess.....Waz wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 17:14Feel the same. It's perfectly justified after the Brazilian shenanigans, but something the sport does not need.
Won't be surprised if Team Orders come under review by the FIA next year after so many blatant result fixes by McLaren. This is the 3rd race they changed the winner of through T.O.
The betting shops (and F1 sponsors) won't like that.
Team orders were not to change the positions....BMMR61 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 17:43They are damned if they do, damned if they don't. It has to be said GR and Mercedes have genuinely found their mojo, not just track and temp related. McLaren will need to look at a different setup for the race or they will be vulnerable.
Team orders are not good for anyone, the team, the drivers, or the fans. There is literally zero emotion showing by anybody when this happens. That ‘good’ feeling you get doesn’t happen
Ferrari look quite capable of a 1/2 at Abu Dhabi, and lets be honest, McLaren on an off day are quite capable of a low points finish there too. I'd be nervous as hell going there needing more than a 6 pointsFittingMechanics wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 17:32I'd take 5 over, 35 ahead with 44 left on the table would be almost guaranteed WCC.
A true wcc material doesn't want gift from the team mate. He want to defeat him. I really like Lando!Mclaren-Honda-1988 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 19:00Lando said in his interview that he intended to give the position to Piastri as a payback from Brazil and that it wasn't a team order. Kudos to him. He might not be full championship material for now but he is the driver I would prefer to have in a team. Clean and respectful to others (especially teammates).
Less than an hour left for Race Qualifying. Let's see if the team can find an even better set up for Qualifying.
