well there is actually some talk that B.A.R may have Button and Barrichello on board next season.
It seems to me like a tough decision for Williams to decide whether to keep Heidfeld of get Button. Heidfeld has now really proven he is a really good driver while he has huge return to the engineers.

Harsh i know but i've always said that Sato is the weak link in the BAR chain. Barrichello recently stated that he would see out his contract with Ferrari, but a move to Honda could be good news for all parties. I believe in this case that Massa would take Barrichello's seat and Heidfeld would move to BMW (with J.V. i hope!) Hopefully we'll then see Anthony Davidson (just as good as Button imo) and Mark Webber at Williams.

what about webber.. he has not proved himself this year.. maybe he will give way for button. i highly doubt it but i think maybe if wiliams stay with bmw next year there will be pressure to keep heidfeld in the seat.

The latest that i've heared is that Williams might move to Cosworth for one year only until they can guarantee a works engine deal. They are bound to honour Webber's contract and Heidfeld is a sure fire bet to move to B.M.W. I'm looking forward to seeing what Sauber would have been capable of with the money to make best use of their resources.

i think it may take sauber 2-3 years minimum to challenge in front.. look at toyota.. they got all the money in the world, they got one of the best engineers(mike gascoyne) but still they are stuggling

Not a rumour I have heard (yet  )......

Mike Gascoyne has taken delivery of a new Ferrari - not odd in itself, but just made me wonder if his mind is drifting to somewhere else? :D

More rumors for BAR. This is a press release that appeared on the Honda-Ontario, Canada website. This Kanaan test is probably just for fun, a favour for a friend, but you never know what will come out of it.

Formula One team BAR Honda will put IRL IndyCar Series champion Tony Kanaan into one of its Lucky Strike-sponsored cars for a test drive September 29th at Jerez, Spain. Kanaan, 30, drives Honda-powered cars for Andretti Green Racing in the Indy Racing League. The common engine supplier, along with the presence of former IRL champion and Indy 500 winner Gil de Ferran as racing director at BAR, helped cement things for Kanaan to get a chance for an F1 drive. De Ferran and Kanaan are both natives of Brazil and developed a close friendship while moving up through the ranks as drivers. While Kanaan, at age 30, is unlikely to make the jump to Formula One competition, the same cannot be said for his IRL teammate, Dan Wheldon. The fast, popular Brit is being courted by a number of F1 teams looking for fresh talent. Wheldon is leading the IRL driver standings this season and already has 4 wins to his credit. His steady and consistently high performance has caught the eye of the several teams, and at just 27 years of age, the native of Emberton, England still has his best driving years ahead of him. Stay tuned for more developments.

Honda Williams

Honda get to keep Button in exchange for the engines

Heidfeld to Sauber (with Wurz?)

Sato to Williams

Massa to Ferrari

Barrichello to BAR with Button

Sort of a neat shuffle dotcha think? :D
I wasn't a bad shot :D

Peter Sauber says this in relation to Massa going to Ferrari "I would have liked to keep Felipe with my team for one more year, but it's too late now,"

People are saying that Barrichello HAS signed for BAR

Open door for Heidfeld @ Sauber surely?

JV says he has a contract for next year and is hanging on to it.

Button? Williams gamesmanship to get Honda engines? I'm less sure now, apart from the posturing (which could be negotiating positioning) Williams has said that he wants a British driver in a British Team again - we all know how patriotic Frank is, you sort of believe him.

In which case, probably Williams/Cosworth - Button/Webber

If Button is right about wanting to be @ BAR, is this RB's best ever shot at a title coming right up?

Well, it looks like we now know the answer. Today, Peter Sauber said that he is sad too see Massa go, and that now it is too late for BMW. That must mean that he signed with Ferrari filling a vacant spot left by Barichello, meaning that Barichello WILL go to BAR.

BMW should get Heidfeld, which means that an empty seat at Williams will be filled by Button.

Now it is official - Barichello is going to BAR!

Does he really think that he has a better chance of winning races with BAR than with Ferrari. I can understand that he is not happy by being MS bodyguard, but thinking that he can do something at BAR...that is just stupid.

No one ever made such mistake as Button is making right now.
Cosworth has experience in production of V8 normaly aspirated engines like no one else… What has Honda to offer to Jason - more money?

I really hope you are right; more than Button, I would love to see Williams challenging the front of the field again.

On the other hand, you have to believe that Toyota, Honda, BMW, Ferrari will probably all make superb V8's!

I'm certain that Williams has better chassis and aero than BAR and since they are all starting from scratch when it matters V8 engines, Cosworth's experience should make the difference.
