Even more important than the driver is the chief designer! So it is great to hear the Adrian Newey is likely to stay with McLaren through 2006.

How about Dave Pitchforth goes to Williams? Not a rumour I've heard, but worth starting!

If you’re wondering who will become the next FIA president, here is a hint – current (Max Mosley) and former (Jean Marie Balestre) both had something in common and that was – Fascism!

Not metaphorically or sarcastically but literally. Therefore, check candidates bio and the one that has some connection with big “F” should be the one...

Todt organization

Founded on July 18, 1933 by Engineer Fritz Todt, genial organizer, the OT (Organization Todt) is in charge of the main infrastructure projects of the third Reich: It started with the German Highway network, revolutionary at that time, then the blockhaus of the Siegfried line in 1938.

At the beginning of the war, the OT is reorganized as a military structure with uniforms, officers and NCO. After F. Todt death, killed in an aircraft accident on February 2, 1942, the OT passes under Albert Speer command.

In France, the OT is in charge of the building of submarines bases and coastal fortifications, For the "Atlantic Wall", it employed 112,000 Germans, 152,000 French and 170,000 North African workers and technicians. About 2,500 French volunteers joined the armed Schutzkommandos, in charge of the protection of the construction projects, after training at la Celle Saint Cloud near Paris.

Those SK are wearing a feldgrau uniform with the NSDAP Svatiska armband.

End 1944, those French were dispersed up to some projects in Norway. Several hundreds will reach Greinferberg in Germany and, from there, the Waffen SS Division Charlemagne.
I wonder if Jean Todt as candidate for FIA president has any connections with this guy mentioned in article from the first link - Fritz Todt?

Is “genial organizer” something genetically inherited…?

I think Todt is the natural replacement for Mosley. Todt has to be fabulously wealthy by now, considering all the executive jobs he bears at Ferrari. He's ruthless, and his philosophy is to win at all costs. To him, the end justifies the means. He's a very political animal, and seems to have his finger in everyone's political pie. Also, when confronted, he will defend his position. And I think his arrogance quotient is similar to Mosley's. And boy, can Todt make deals....

But I think it's permature to dismiss Mosley right now. He has weathered this Indy controversy with the greatest skill. Mosley has actually taken a disadvantage and somehow turned it into an advantage.

It certainly looks like that! I was baying for his blood a few weeks back; but some happenings of late really deserve a wry smile or two at the very least!

What about the following rumour?

Honda Williams

Honda get to keep Button in exchange for the engines

Heidfeld to Sauber (with Wurz?)

Sato to Williams

Massa to Ferrari

Barrichello to BAR with Button

Sort of a neat shuffle dotcha think? :D

I can go along with all of that apart from Sato to Williams.

I already wrote this as reply on other topic but let me do it again...

Honda broke the deal with Sir Frank Williams back in the '80s after he became disabled in accident, saying something like - "...disabled person will not run the team supplied with our engines..."!!!

Suggesting that after such primitive insult Sir Frank should now renew the deal with Honda beats my logic...

I'm not kidding, BAR sucks this season and except Sato no other "good" driver will offer his services to BAR for 2006. Having Danica in the team would be a good marketing move without any investment especially since BAR's championship winning ambitions are definitely fading away...

We really have to ask the realistic question.... "Will Shu retire at the end of this season?"
He just might, if his car doesn't improve enough by year's end. If the rules change for this season was bad enough for Ferrari, the ones in '06 will definitely make for a confusing season. I don't expect to see Shu sit through this dismal season, and a possibly even more depressing season in '06.
If Shu leaves, it will be the proverbial domino effect. Will Massa finally realize Ferrari glory? Will Reubens stick to a team that loses it's premier driver, and probably a lot of other personnel?
Personally, I think this Danicamania has blown completely out of proportion to her abilities and experience. I've been able to follow her closely since her Skip Barber days. She is a road racer, and yes, she is good. But I just don't believe she has been honed and tempered to the point where she can deal with F1. yet.
BAR? They will have to sell the cow and the farm to keep Button. The only consolation to this season is the fact that in '06. they will enjoy running the third car in practice, something that really benefitted them last year. And Sato? I expect to see him gone at the end of the season. That's the way of life in f1, brutal and harsh at times.
But as a fan, I really like what I'm seeing over at McLaren. They have the car right, and they have two very good drivers. We may enjoy some very classic battles, in the same theme as when Prost and Senna battled each other in 1988.
